^^^ I'm guessing the stall was the reason you only dynoed 317, what kind is it?

It's performabuilt's Billet Series Converter. It's a pretty heavy converter but it is significantly stronger than just a standard converter, at least I am told.

I take it your going with a heavier, stronger converter because your planning on making over 4xx whp? My converter is smaller and very efficient.

That is correct. Futral F-14 highlift cam/TSP 227 heads and Fast 102 combo. Plus all the supporting mods. That converter should hold up.

it's funny to compare dyno numbers because they can be greatly altered with a simple oversight and/or push of a button. cars are compared side by side in a contest of acceleration, be it at the track or elsewhere.

let's bench race with my stock car so i can feel good. 99 ta m6, 3800#rw, mods are lid and flowmaster weld in. trapped 109-111 @ 2200' da. subract 700lbs, add lots of bolt ons...damn i'm already going 120+. good job guys, thanks. i feel good about this.

i think magnet is one of a few guys in here who has a clue what's going on hahaha.

you should be happy to know you can go really fast with stock internals theres more than one guy going 119mph+ in the 1/4 with boltons If you have a strong motor put the right boltons on and get your car down around 3100 lbs you will trap between 112- 118 with an a4 and with an m6 they put more power to the ground and thats why guys are traping 115 - 122. Do the research you wont be sorry when your running faster than other people with more power. The magnet is my cousin and ive seen his car many of times and its leget. He knows his stuff and i learned alot from him. I had a stock internals car that was 3200lbs,110,000mile lower compression motor that had all kinds of problems and in +2300 da i trapped 114 in an a4.

Haha, nothing special about my car except it does what it is suppose to

I do find it funny how people compare dyno numbers so competitively, and put caps on numbers. It is interesting how normally you see people either put "the cap" at the highest number someone they know has had OR within 10 of their numbers

I'm right there with you. Dyno queens usually don't run the et!

If this helps to put things into perspective, Matt Hill told me and I quote "This is the heartbreaker of all dynos." meaning people tend to dyno lower there. closer to real-world results perhaps? Other cars that dyno'd there today- slowtealz28's intake/full exhaust/tuned 1999 c5 6 speed 329/340, My friend's 1999 Z28 with a lid/catback/free mods (converter locked in 3rd gear) 309/325, and my buddy's 2003 full bolt on mustang gt 5spd 260/302 all numbers sae corrected

Mods- Vararam, Haltech air bridge, fast 90/90, Full exhaust, TMR tune

3400 Fuddle Converter, locked in 3rd gear
3.42 gears

358 RWHP 378 RWTQ SAE Corrected

Im not all about dyno numbers, Im about ET
best time before the 90/90 and 3.42 gears 11.41@118.98mph 1.60 60'

I just got my car dyno'd today. 328.4 hp and 341 tq.
Lid, lt's, ory, exhaust, Frost tune. Everything else is stock. I'm very happy. My car is actually a 2000 camaro, I never figured out how to change my log in name. Haha.

Everything stock 274,000 miles 98 Z28 hard top, LS1, A4, dee screened, air box trim, new plugs, hypertech programer, spare tire removed, 10 bolt with 4.10s and a dry 100 shot just in case. Best time on spray was 12.43 best MPH was 114. With out spray was a 13.6 if I rember was running 26 10.5 ETs on stock 16s was also my first time to a track in a car I owned for less than a month.

I have always read on here the 98 cams are bigger. :/

I'm curious about the time these full bolt on cars are running in the 1/8 or1/4mile. I ran an 8.496 in the 1/8 with my current mods and rwhp. I believe that should be good for a high 12's or very low 13's. How about you guys?
