how hard is this cam on the valvetrain...its looks pretty similar to the MTI Z1 cam, which is hard on the valvetrain....even the good upgraded valvetrain.

I have the X1 cam on a 114 lobe, and may think about getting a new cam. I would like something with more exhaust that intake for my upcoming nitrous setup. I have 382 cubes, LS6 intake, ported stock TB, descreened MAF, and stg. 2 MTI ported/polished heads (LS1, the good ones, not the cheap ones), and the valvetrain upgrade, heads have 2.055 and 1.6. Would this new TR cam work with my set up AND would it loose much if it was on a 114 lobe?

And why are people asking for an A4 cam? Why wouldn't this cam work in an A4? I think it would fine.
i know im slow, but fast enought to beat him, even if i have to push the button besides im just letting of steam. not really serious, i could car less.
i think the guy said he wanted to see it tested in a a4 to see what it put down, and how it drove. wesleyss has a auto he said that he was going to try it as soon as it came available. he is here local.

Do you have a dyno graph of this new cam vs. your LS6 cam overlayed? I'd love to see it! Great numbers.

Thanks,

Jason those are some amazing numbers. I imagine you car will roll with the drag setup reinstalled. How does the drivability compare to the 10.59 motor?
It's awesome that these sort of cam advancements continue to make spending money on heads not necessary to make big numbers.

I printed the LS6 vs V.2 graph last night. Just need to scan it and post it.

We have not measured vaccuum with this cam as of yet, but I have not had any problems with my brakes at all. Pedal feels the same, etc. They feel no different after this cam.

Mike, thanks! Good to hear from you again. I have been looking for you around LSU, but 99% of my classes are in CEBA now. I doubt you will be in that area much for your major, etc.

The solid roller definitely drove just slightly better around town. Once the current cam get a little more tuning, I do feel they are going to have very similar driving characteristics.

I haven't forgot about you Chris! I just haven't had time to do anything today but school stuff (two exams today and one tomorrow; then it's time for Mardi Gras ). I'll get that graph scanned in before the weekend.

Yeah, what kind of upgraded heads (over LS1 stockers) can be combined safely with this cam so as to meet proper P/V clearance?
