a dyno is more consistant and easier to measure then the track will ever be...Way too many variables there.

I disagree...I 've seen up to 20 HP difference between dynos. Come on, Jason has the benefit of great conditions...low DA, sea level, weather, etc...the mph will tell you if the cam is making the power.

I dont get why all these people are doubting these cams? Damn, even if you say the #'s are 20hp high, that is still 430 rwhp stock heads!

One thing you DON'T have to worry about is jason taking that car to the track. They dyno is used to see if they are making improvements or loosing ground. Trust me...I know jason and I know thunder racing. They are all about track results.

I agree with that, I wanna see if it has the mph it should. If it does i'd be first in line to buy one.

I agree ... I would be extremely happy if I only got 430rwhp instead of the 450 in my car .... that's just a big number for a cam on stock heads.

Go thunder.

Then that means I'll be third in line. Does anyone know when Jason is going to post up the rest of the info today?

Talking

Test this cam on a 97-00 ls1 with headers, ls6 intake manifold & tuning. I want to see what it does on a 98-00 car (slightly different heads). If it does over 435rwhp..you are going to have customers. Do another test car.
Sound clips please!!!

Yeah, that's what i'm talkin bout, but my # is gonna be a little lower than urs, i'd be happy with anything over 400 rwhp b/c of my turbo 400, non-locking converter, and 12-bolt!!!! If I could get anything over 400 rwhp, my car will be a 10-sec car easy!!!! And if I did it on stock heads, that'd be sweet as hell!!!!! I'm anxiously awaiting more results and testing and track times!!!! Cuz i'd much rather spend a little extra money on a cam swap then up to $2000+ on a set of heads!!! And then the heads could always be added later!!!

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - T-ReX v.2 - 242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa 3500-6700 RPM Power Band. Violent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning, 4000+ converter on autos, 4.10's or greater on manual trans cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Due to the extreme nature of this camshaft, piston to valve clearance must be verified when using modified cylinder heads.

The specs are out!!!

Holy ****!!!! Where did you get the info from?! And damn, that thing is huge!!!!!!!! Are they sure it doesn't require flycutting on stock heads, hehe!!!! I'm assuming this is basically an all motor cam by lookin at the lobe seperation!!!

Hey Jason, you think this cam would be ok with a 4000+ stall with only 3.73's in the rear? Cuz I can't go any higher on the gears, cuz for now I have to daily drive the car, and have no OD! Also, you think it would be ok in a daily driver? I have a very different definition of streetable than most, hehe!! I just don't want to be breaking valvetrain parts left and right, or bottom end for that matter!

My idle is set at 1000rpm, will that be sufficient with this cam? 4400 stall here with 4.11 gears. My car is tuned for a 236/240 112lsa should I be able to run this cam ok on that tune?
