Wow at that hp! You should drop it off up the street from the track and pretend you drove it there. Do that a few times to really mess with people.

Thats a very mean engine

There is a similar spec engine here in Australia, expect 8.50-8.40 from a similar weight car

so i was looking over the car and saw that one of the brackets for the caliper is completely sitting on the rotor and when its running is completley taking metal off of the rotor. im thinking that it will make more power when i get the rotor to stop draging on that bracket. and also i was looking into the valvetrain and it has already killed a set of springs. i guess that is the down fall of engines like this is finding the right set of springs to work with how aggressive the cam is. it was floating the valves at 8800rpm. im putting the new springs on tomorrow morning and than once i put the heads and everything back on i will be putting it back on the dyno to see if we can pick up and more power between the rotor issue and the valve springs.

Can I ask what valves springs you are going with? Not that I will ever need them but I am interested to see what kind of spring holds that kind of RPM.

Dont have to worry about valve float with those valvesprings. They still would need to be replaced about once a year.

Just trying to help you figure it out. The new spring seem slightly overkill. I'm surprised the old springs were toast so soon and only @ 8800. Hope the new springs solve the problem.
