Default new results from my GTO

well i just pulled the GTO out of storage after the winter mods and got her tuned. the previous setup was

LQ9 short block with pistons cut .060 on both valves
243's with a vj and bowl work only (stock runners)
230/242 .631 .622 on 110lsa (spec'd for a single plane intake)
1 3/4 lts
udp
ls6 intake with a ported tb

the car made 435/421. the changes this winter were a fast 92 with a ptm 92 tb and a svede intake. first pull with no tuning it made 452/407. the final pull was 465/434 with the injector maxed out. the graph is attached. i've been told i'm leaving power on the table by not switching the cam out for a long runner friendly grind. i picked up a 236/240 (streetsweeper) but i'm not sure if it's worth the swap. any opinions?

nobody has any opinions about swapping cams? i'm leaning towards trying it seeing i already bought it and need a retune for an injector swap anyway. but if it's only a 5 or 10hp gain i won't waste my time

Nice numbers congrats!!
This is the same build i plan on doing to my Silverado SS. Exciting to see this post and your previous build thread ( been searching Lq9+worked 243's)

This has convinced me to pick up some 243's and send them off to flowtech induction and have them spec a cam out and a Fast 102 lsxrt.

can't go wrong with Ed i think after the injectors and some small tweaks it will go 475rwhp. this is also through an ls7 clutch. still not sure if i'm gonna change the cam yet. since i already have it i probably will just to see. thanks for the comment, i pretty happy being they are stock runner 243's

Keep the current cam, 400 rwtq @ 3000 rpm out of a 6.0 is very nice!

that's why i'm unsure. the gto is a heavy brick for sure and i don't want to lose any down low because it is a street car

great numbers for a vj and bowl work only LS6 heads, can you illustrate how did you do the bowl porting and the valve job?

thanks.

I dont think youre gonna see much of a gain with the cam swap. Nice results on the FAST setup.

sorry man the head work was done by Dennis Wheet. i know the bowls were opened up to 90% of the valves. all porting was within 2" of the valve

Nice numbers! I think with the street sweepr cam you will give up some tq down low to pick up a few hp up top... you have 400wtq on tap from 3k-5800rpm, I say leave it as is!!
