Default Straightline 383 tune

Finally got the car tuned! Mike @ Straightline did a great job. Very easy to work with, answers all questions and explains them so a regular Joe can understand them. I was very pleased with the results; car was 380/382 prior to the AES forged 383 build, 243 ported heads by AES, FLT level 4 trans, vig 3600 stall (was 2800) and MWC fabbed 9".

Have the same cam that was installed on the 380/382 motor, specs in sig;

423 rwhp 427 rwt

I'll post the sheets in a sec.

Time to go to the track!

wow. that is some kick *** torque... that hp is close to what i had with similar heads and a Ms4 cam, on a dynojet with a 7.5" rear. At 3590# race weight mine went 11.4@119 with a 1.59 60' . I'd bet with traction you should see some 10 sec. time slips... Congrats !

Pretty solid numbers but I think the cam is on the small side for a 383

I have stock rims on front and Nitto DR'S on back so I prob won't see 10's. If I'm in the low to mid 11's I'll be happy. Will purchase slicks and skinny's up front once I can save up the cash.

Yeah Mike at Straightline told me that; it was a big cam for the previous 346 but on the small side for a 383. Will run this cam for now but will prob go bigger sometime down the road.
