Hey John I just decided to get it and not leave anything on the table, I don't have a budget to buy an Ls3 intake and a 90mm tb then sell it and get a FAST and a 102 TB. I think you should do it and match the runners.

Sorry things are taking so long to post more results. The lid and header results should be done today hopefully.

An update, the transmission had some difficulty so we are sending it back under warranty to get it checked out. We have not forgotten about the thread, or anything like that.

When things look up so much, there is always something to bring you down I guess.

The cats on the SLP setup were completely clogged as well. By completely, I mean NO air was going through that I could see. Obviously it was, but when we took them off, the entire front face looked like a sledge hammer hit it.

The new Kooks 1 7/8 headers and catless y pipe are on (well were) now, but we are just waiting for the trans get there, get checked, and be sent back.

Fingers crossed it will pick up power everywhere, and lose power nowhere...

I think you should do something to the Kooks y-pipe merge while you have it off the car. It is not a very good design. If you can fab the Flowmaster merge or something like Patrick G did on there while ur waiting you will pick up even more power and have less rasp.

With an LM1 on there, its going to be loud anyway. We did start it up after the headers and before taking the trans out, and it sounded very nice with no noticeable rasp over the way it sounded before.

There are some things that he wants to do in the future, and at that time he/we can address the Y pipe if it seems to be a limiting factor.

I'm not talking about the loudness. The Kooks y-pipe merge is junk for a smooth transission. If you get a nice merge on there, it will flow better = more power/tq. Not to mention less rasp would result.

If the Y is the problem, then an exhaust change would be the next step. To say the kooks true dual system. Thats what I meant.

I hopefully estimate a tad over 600 at the tire with this change if the power gains are as expected and they keep with the flow of the trend.

The kooks true dual system is something to get later. Right now, the LM1 system flows pretty decent enough for me. Plus I like the way it sounds. But I havent heard my car with the kooks headers yet.

Ha. Some minor issues still. A few with the actual startup tuning on the car. Its like a completely different beast now. They should be remedied soon and we should see numbers soon.
