Couldnt Be More Happy With My Trans Am...
#21
I do have a lil issue tho...
When i accelerate, the car revs up just a bit and then it catches. Minor slippage. But when im at high speeds, i smash the gas pedal redlines for a second or two and then it goes.
I have a stock trans and torque converter... Will replacing the converter to a 3600 stall fix this problem???
Let me know if you or anyone knows about this.
I do have an Auto 4 speed... Still kicked butt at the track with a 12.9 with a crappy 2.0 60 foot.
I'll upload vids of my 1/4 mile here soon.
First time driving and learning the T/A since the tune and real performance feel.
All input welcome, Please help!

Yes a 12.9, I thought i should be doing better, but didnt want to dissapoint myself... My friends cobra got me on this pass with less than two tenths of a second, and he is putn down 453 RWHP. Both on street tires.

Beat the Terminator on this pass
What i Dont understand, is why if i had a slower time, I beat my friends cobra with a faster time...
Remember, both on street tires and horrible 60 footers.

Its not a whole lot of bolt ons if you really look at it... Only have lid, gutted catz, and cut out. everything else is stock down to the y pipe. even though i have an 80 series flowmasters wich is so crappy and restrictive, but being bypassed by cutout at the I pipe... Long tubes and 3 inch ory is the key to maximize my set up...

The win is based on your reaction time plus your time through the 1/4 mile. Your ET is the time it took for you to break the beams, then pass through the 1/4, so you can win with a slower ET but faster reaction time.

Thats how it works... Thanks for the break down
As far as my Tranny slipping, would replacing the torque converter with a stall fix this problem?

assuming your tranny is not going out, just adding the TC alone will knock a few tenths off your ET.but then traction becomes an issue as you will launch a LOT harder.that 3600rpm TC will make it feel like a different car,i promise you.with a good launch you should run low 12s all day long, but will need good tires/suspension to do it.

Unfortunately my tranny took a dump on me, Im getn a rebuit, shift kit, and 2500 stall for just 100 bucks more for now.
I know i wont be satisfied with stall but its a deal for just a hundred bucks more.
Im also looking into LCA to make my ride more efficient on take offs.
