I'm thinking something like 227/226 .613/.605 114+4.

Plus Bobby's car is going back on the dyno tomorrow to test a few new tricks that I will soon be employing on my car as well.

TR makes a nice 227 something cam on a 113 lift at or over .600 it's in their torque cam line up IIRC check them out.

I saw it made 439 that is stout as hell!

Thread update.

Went back to the track (one that hooks) Sunday in great weather and ran some new bests for my car.

1.469 - 60'
4.451 - 330'
7.047 - 1/8
95.44 - MPH

Having trouble lowering the shift points on the 2-3 shift, so I hit the limiter a little bit on every pass.

I already have a cam. And Bobby's dyno numbers aren't quite what I wanted them to be. I was hoping he'd gain more from the exhaust mods

Wow, you are so close to popping off a pass in the 6.90s. A baby cam N/A car running 10s in the quarter is the real deal.

My last time out I had a best of 7.28. I have the intake off for porting and I am going to try a bigger carburetor. I will probably have to go to a 3600 converter to get in the 10s, but I want to see how close I can get first.

You are oh so close.

Damn jon, I didn't know you cut a 1.46 60' that's awesome! Those 3.90's are working now that you got that cam in there, it looks like you brake stalled it? If you can get that damn limiter to quit coming on for your 2-3 shift you got a 6.99 in the bag.

So bobby took the shorties off and put long tubes on? I also noticed how loud your car was in the video, did you take the exhaust off?

Something is working. I stalled it to 2000.

It's always loud going down the track. I don't know if you think that is my car camming at the lights but that's something in the pits. Mine is still as quiet as ever at idle.

Nah I knew that wasn't your car camming at the lights, I meant during the burnout it sounded louder than usual.

What kind of suspension mods do you have?

My burnouts are usually 5000+ rpms the whole time.

Tunnel mount T/A, adjustable LCAs and relo. brackets, DD SFCs, and a PHR.

Shocks my friend, shocks. I can get you set-up with a good baseline and where to go from there if and when the time comes.

Wanted to say too Jon, I know you've helped me with my tuning and my car to get it semi-fast, I think it's pretty cool that you've done this much with so little. Very impressive to say the least. Time for a lightning rematch!!! LOL

Get some heads. AFRs and Trickflows will give you a little better valve clearance so that you could run a thinner gasket. And you'd benefit from the head flow as well.

The new AFR v.2 215's look really nice as do the TFS 215's. Honestly I'll probably just do what you did with the 243's and have them ported by that guy you were telling me about, forget his name now. Might do AI's or TEA's as I've seen the AI's have been worth a solid 40-50rwhp gain over the stock 241 heads.

Gary will be as good or better than AI but probably a little cheaper.

You could do a set of 5.3 heads and get the compression up too.

I'm gonna try to get my exhaust done next week. Then dyno, then maybe track, then cam, then dyno again, then track again.
