The 7.04 was with the old exhaust.

Easily 6.9s with just the exhaust... I would bet BOTTOM 6.9s, maybe even a high 6.8. Granted all else equal.

I was wrong about the hp gain with the exhaust and the cam dyno numbers went the total wrong way, but now I've got other things to worry about. So if the motor still runs when it goes back in the car it will be in the 6s.

great numbers ,kinda sounds like a Pat-G project involving a ls6 motor and a small EPS cam.the new Y-pipe will help.you should be running 10.90s.you don't need a big cam to be quick.

The y-pipe hurt me about 5 rwhp up top and the cam hurt it 3 rwhp up top and 16 down low. I did gain overall with the exhaust by modifying the tailpipes but the dyno was in STD and not SAE so once the number were corrected they weren't as high as I originally thought when I posted that.

Why did you lose power with a better exhaust and cam?

Do you plan to port the heads any? I bet that thing is a total beast on the street taking down higher hp cars.

I don't know. I'm gonna try a different merge setup in the y-pipe. It just has a weird sound to it now at WOT. I just wonder if something is going on that isn't flowing like it should.

No idea about the cam either. Everything I checked was fine. The TR220 is back in it just to double check my results and I'm gonna check the new cam out and make sure it's ground properly.

I'm working on that right now.

I don't get impressed easy. You have done it. A set of AFR heads and a pat g cam i bet you would hit 10.7 or 10.8. Nice job for real.

What happens after the merge? What bullet is it and what tailpipes do you have

It's a summit bullet and it's a Magnaflow catback otherwise.

I had a local (retard) exhaust shop change the tailpipes on it from the 3 inch magnaflow tips to Corsa clones. And in doing that they added some 2 1/4" pipe to the mix. I cut those tips off on the dyno and gained like 12 rwhp down low and 8 up top (or something like that). I'm gonna redo the tips with 3 inch pipes out of the Magnaflow muffler.

I'm probably gonna switch to a Flowmaster merge with a 4" out and run that into a 4" dynomax bullet then reduce it back to 3 before the axle.

I don't think it will take AFR heads to run 10.7s. Right now with good weather I think it will be close with just the few tweaks that I've done/will do. Just trying to get every last bit out of what I've got.

Didn't tear anything up. Just had an incident that made it a little more convenient to freshen up my bottom end.

Id ditch the bullet all together and run a 4 inch cutout in place of it. The bigger merge is a good idea.

This is what I'm talking about when I said what happened?

Then you said something happened that made it easier to freshen the bottom end?

What happened?

Just a hiccup while putting the TR220 back in the car.

All I know is that when it goes back in I might try to find me a grudge car to run.
