Auto TRex dyno. Low numbers?
I posted this in the wrong section and don't know how to move it so im posting it again here
Before I say anything I don't care what the car dyno's I just want to make sure I'm not leaving anything on the table. Car is a 98 z28. Mods are as followed
02 ws6 shortblock
Trex camshaft
853 heads
Ls6 intake with slp throttle body
Circle d 4000 converter
4.10 gear
1 3/4 headers with 3in y pipe with what looks to be 2.25 catback with hooker muffler
E85 tune
The car does have 3 degrees of timing pulled for nitrous
It has ran a best of 11.98 at 112 with a 1.67 60 foot but is consistent at 12.0 at 111 with a 1.64. This was with the old 3.73 gears. The car made 359/351 this weekend with the converter unlocked on a dyno jet. I've always thought the car trapped low speeds. Do the dyno numbers sound low for my setup?

What power did it put down on pump gas? Stock fuel system?
Don't see too many people running E85 unless they have power adders or high compression builds.

The AFRs looked spot on. Not certain how many degrees of timing it's actually at. I want to say 28 then 3 pulled. Car has a walbro 255 and 42lb injectors. It's getting enough fuel. The duty cycles aren't close to being maxed
Just to give you some comparative data:
My 2000 ws6 m6, stock cube stock 853s (why on earth would they put those on your 2002 shortblock?!?!) T rex, udp, ls6 intake, 1 3/4 heddman LT, 4.10s on 10 bolt.

Agreeing with everyone on the exhaust. Years ago on my old 02 Z28/A4, it rolled a 309/329 with nothing more than airlid & hooker muffler. A few weeks later with pacesetter LT's & matching I-pipe on same dyno same temps, it rolled 335/362.
Granted the #'s may seem high but that's a dyno. Like said above, it's a tool.

I wanted to bring this back from the dead incase any trex cam owners were curious. I put a single cutout in the I piece of my stock piping catback and added a chris1313 ram air. The car has now gone 11.39 at 118! Thanks for the advice everyone
Might wanna check the tune out with the cutout as well. Might be running a little lean now with the added exhaust flow, which contributes to more airflow on the intake side.
Good results. I've seen similar on my Formula. It was a 30rwhp drop shutting the cutout.

Wow, now thats what I'm lookin for!! I want a max effort cam and a friend keeps tellin me to use a TREX. I'm changing tire size (26 to 27.75) and putting in 4.30s over the winter. Still undecided on the cam but this has possibilites!!
