Default 418 Stroker GTO dyno'ed

First time the car has ever been on a dyno. Its an auto with a 4k stall. Was curious to see what the powerband was looking like. Although we couldn't get the rpm function to work on the dyno for some reason I am happy with the results. I included the scan. Powerband looks exactly how the car feels. These are unlocked numbers. Pulls great from tip-in all the way to redline. Built and tuned by me. With the exception of the short block. Shout out goes to TSP on that one!

Too be honest the Numbers look alittle low to me. Do you have dyno graph with rpm instead of mph and with sae correction?

Im sure its a beast either way. Its alot of power so Enjoy it

"Its an auto with a 4k stall"

With a 4K stall those numbers are great.

So was mine look in sig. Numbers arent bad at all I just think they could be alittle better. You have to figure they would be around 10 less with sae correction too. But all dynos are not the same and ITs alot of power enough to kill tires all day and night so it will be fun as hell to drive.

Great discussion. Specific mods are:

TSP 418 11.5cr, hardcore intake, ported fast 92/tb,(TSP Texas Giant Camshaft 248/254, .615"/.622" 112lsa, AI 243 heads,pacesh!ter lt's, factory catback, UDP, drag springs, FTI4000 and performabuilt2.

I imagine a combination of the heads,lt's and hardcore intake/fast92 combo are holding it back a bit. Honestly it made exactly what I thought it would through this drive train...not an over achiever. I could spend even morrrrre money on better heads, stepped headers/exhaust, fast102/svede intake.

BUT I could also use that amount of money for a nice 200 shot setup aswell!

If you look at mike27408's numbers with slightly better intake/header setup than mine and through an m6 I dont think I'm far off at all.

offaxis, what converter did you have in the GTO? Mine is a 4000, but with this new motor its been flashing to more like 4300. Is there a way I can tell if I'm blowing through it or its maybe inefficient at this power level? Its hits HARD...lotta fun.

Looks real good going through that converter. If it was a m6 car you would be near 550rwhp.

What kind of timing would you guys expect me to be running. Its got 23 in it now. I always heard the 243 heads don't favor much more anyways. The cam has alottt of overlap to it though so dynamic cr might allow more timing..thoughts?

I agree^ Go for a few runs and see how it does at the track. There is ocassions where Dyno numbers get you excited but when you hit the track it could be another story.
