When milling your essentially bringing the center if the cyl head closer to the centerline of the motor.. You'll misalign the runners and possibly not seal at all

It just seems with the angle the runners will move towards the center it wont be as much as I mill. I wonder if it will help the runners seal by taking .005 off of each intake side of the head where the intake seals against to keep them apart. Still would have to drill out the bolt holes maybe but... I assume there's room for that intake to sit .050 lower towards the valley covers. I wonder if there's a measurement of how much you have to mill intake side of head depending on how much you mill the bottom.

Machine shops do this all the time.. So as long as they're competent, you'll be fine..

There is, you should be able to find them with a google search. Typically the intake is milled, not the intake face of the head.

being the fast intake is plastic I assumed the head side would be milled.

I wouldn't mill plastic... Lol and stock 317's are cheaper than a 900.00 intake...

yeah idk how to go about milling plastic accurately. The only reason I am using a FAST 90mm intake is it was from another project I had. Milling it would kill the resale value. I have some AFR 225cc heads I am not using on this as it is a 364 and I am trying to do a budget (ish) build. The 317's came with the motor so I'm gonna see how much fun this is gonna be to drive around after I finish porting the heads.

So I've pretty much decided I'm going to lightly clean up the chambers and mill until I'm @ 66cc chambers. That should give me 10.95:1 with DCR of 8.49:1. Deciding if I wanna spend 120ish to get a 3 angle valve job or just lap them myself and call it a day. then again I could buy one size bigger exhaust valves and have the machine shop cut the seats for them. Not sure if it would be worth it though.

Well I do have AFR 225cc heads that are real nice however I had thought they were a bit large for a 364ci. I'm not planning on a crazy cam and didn't wanna have to wind it out with a large cam to make use of those heads. Plus it gave me an excuse to experiment on the stock heads and see what I could do with them.

Changed heads and cam, car ran great.. 2 solid years.. Drive to work 50
Miles each way.. No problem, but mostly contribute it's excellent street manners to 1. My glorious tuning skills, 2. Great converter... And good parts... I'd do it again..

Have you put it on the rollers since going to 243's? All your #'s (477rwhp) were w/ 317's, was curious how those 243's worked out for you and what you did to them? Also, how big of a hit are you using?

made 500, just never cleared up the issues, I had with the lifters, so I decided that if I'm popping heads off, I'm dropping compression and strapping a turbo on it..
