That's why I went with the LS7 MAF. I still might end up just running it SD, but I have no restriction with a 100mm inlet from the FTP 104 to the FAST...

Jake, have you calipered the ID of the FTP 104 lid at its smallest point? I've "heard" it's closer to a 98mm ID.

Looks like it mics out to 106mm. The TSP 100mm MAF fits inside like a glove.

Thanks for the kind words!

Funny thing is this car was mainly built from the classifieds. Not EVERYTHING was used, like PR's, timing chain, lifters, springs, cam... Although I did get the timing set from Yank, in the classifieds.

I went to a cars coffee and donuts here Lafayette this past week and won a $500 dollar gift certificate to Lethal Racing. Seems all they sell though is Vette and 5th Gen parts. Maybe they can order me something.

Might be time for an electric water pump... Maybe knock on 470?

In my opinion, 3 hp doesn't justify the cost of one of those things.

Dave, I bet Lethal could order you whatever you want. Or, you could always sell the gift card to a Mustang/Cobra owner.

Get a methanol kit. That would add more power than an EWP.

I second selling it as well. Put that money towards the bigger fast??? What kind of gains would that net?

Slim to none most likely.

I would put it towards tires....never hurts to have an extra pair.

The FAST 102 isn't worth the upgrade over the 92.

Tires... Or the Methanol kit!!!

I'm trying to see if the ECS kit on the Vette will work on our cars. They are supposed to get back with me this morning. You can see 15-20rwhp more, because you can push your timing WAY up.

What's WAY up? I'm at 29* already

I was thinking the EWP, but damn. 3hp? I thought on even STOCK cars it nets you at least 8...

GZMotorsports vacuum pump, but not sure if it's even warranted. Lethal Racing here in Lafayette, not Lethal Performance. The do a LOT with the Gen5's and C6 guys.

Maybe I should just be happy and put it towards some big/littles/tires like Thunderstruck said.

Jake, I second that idea on a water/meth kit. I acutally made a thread a few weeks ago asking about them and will eventually do this myself. You'll get basically the same results as converting to e85, which equates to cooler engine temps and the ability to run more timing, which equates to more HP. Jake is right in that you could see anywhere from 15 to 20 hp with a water/meth kit. That's way more "HP bang for the buck" over a electric water pump.

Have the heads been touched or are they as they came from AFR. I know AFR's are nice to begin with finish wise, but is there something to be gained by hogging and/or polishing those things some more? I'm sure youre real anxious to tear the top half of your motor apart. lol

Jake, aren't there companies that make a F-Body specific water/meth kit? If I remember right, Snow Performance has a few. Is the ECS kit better than the rest?

And that's the delimna.

How much more to put into this? I'm enjoying the power considering everything is "off the shelf" to speak, even the FAST.

IF the heads ever come off, it'll be to sell at this point. There's a certain someone that wants me to go with bigger cubes, Mast heads, and a custom cam...

I think the ONLY regret from this build is not getting the Cometic .040's and notching the pistons.

Mantic Er2 single disk, end clutch discussion. Ive had a few different clutches and this one blows the ALL out of the water. Feels about like an LS7 stock pedal feel and holds 700HP. No Tick AMC, no chatter, slips like a stock clutch. I have had mine for about a year now and love it. I have used Monster before and hated it.

I hear you about how much more to put into it. Probably not really worth it in the long run to start spending lots of money and time on it to get minimal gains. I think youve done pretty good getting some big power out of it fairly cheaply. It must be a blast to drive. That being said, if its me spending your money..... I would love to see that thing hit 500 on the stock short block without anything too crazy.

The ECS kit is the Akly Control system. It's the best.

Snow is good, but universal.

You sort of have everything else. Unless you let Mamo touch the heads and intake. That might net you 15rwhp. It'll cost more than $500. lol

I don't know you all that well Dave, but I think I know you well enough to know that waisting your time and money on further porting the AFR 205cc heads and FAST intake will be a waste of your time and money. Yeah, it will pick up a few HP, but nothing like you're wanting. If you have the means, go bigger cubes, MAST (or small bore LS7 heads) and a custom cam. I think you'll always quest after "more power", and you ain't going to get a big enough "fix" porting those AFR's.
