Default AFR 205's, Ed Curtis Cam, EPS Tune **460/420**

After having the cam in the closet almost a year to the day, my wife finally got on my *** to get the install done. (She bought the cam, afterall)

"Godfather" Cam from Ed Curtis @ Flowtech Induction - 229/236 .631.631 112+2
AFR 205's @ 59cc w/ GM MLS Gasket
PowerBond Pulley
LS2HD Timing set with billet gears and torrington bearing<---(nice surprise)
TSP LS6 ported oil pump
LS2 Trays
LS7 Lifters
ARP 6pt Head Studs, Cam Bolts, Cam Retainer Plate Bolts, and Crank Pulley Bolt
BT Racing Dual Platinum springs shimmed to 1.750 install height w/ .030 shims
new valve seals
7.4 Comp Push Rods

My stock shortblock with 145,500 miles

Car did 452rwhp and 417rwtq on a stock slipping clutch and maxed injectors. I brought 42#ers with me just to find out after swapping them one was dead. on the 6th run the clutch tapped out.

Rest of mods are in sig. The FAST is not ported.

What else do you guys think I can do?

The difference between run 4 and run five was a clean MAF vs a dirty one

I have the dynographs but on my company computer I cant download the software from Dynojet to upload them. Anyone that can help me out would be great. I have them in my email. When the clutch gets shitty I actually hit 800ftlbs tq.

Clutch alone will help. I just went from a worn out spec 3+ to a McCloud RST and it's night an day.
Nice power you have .

I'd love an RST. I'm looking at an ACT GM9-HDSS and a Monster 2 as well. I'm just trying to avoid the Tick master. I think that only leaves me the RST

First gear can be a bitch around 1400; chugs a little bit (cam surge) but honestly it's not bad at all. SOTP I feel like I lost nothing 3000 and below, but around 3k it's like it just explodes all the way to redline.

It's fun, that's for damned sure!

I love it! I think I'll enjoy it a lot more when I get the new clutch.

Now I need a clutch, an 8.8 rear, a TDP Trans..... Oh it never ends.

I think I'm going with a bigger lid and a custom 90mm MAF, and I still have to get the 42# injectors installed. 475 would be nice, and 440tq

Leaner is meaner. Wow. If I was tuning that car I would have shut the pull off at 3500. Lol

Thanks for the replies guys! Yeah, the MAF was filthy to say the least. I should have taken it apart to clean it instead of just spraying it down. Geoff sure knows his **** though. He threw so much fact at me it made my head hurt!

Nothing against the Tick Master. I just feel it isn't warranted if you're running a pressure plate that isn't self adjusting.

A larger Lid (prob heat gun the neck on the SLP since it's a tougher plastic than the FTP) and a 90mm MAF from Reckart should free up SOMETHING.

**WAS** running lean. Hence, the MAF swap. I had a BNIB one with me in the car just in case.

Both pulls are lean. One is just leaner. There is no way I would run that thing wide open throttle.

That's the only pic of the pulls I have. I highly doubt Geoff would let it off the dyno and give it to me as a grenade with a pulled pin.

Either way, I sent Geoff an email asking for a good shot of my run. Like I said, I have 2 DynoJet files I can email so someone else can post them. I can't download the damned software due to Chevron's company computers having a RIDICULOUS amount of security attached.

Just got off the phone with Geoff. I'm running about 13:1 now as it stands. I NEED to get back there and get my 42# injectors installed/tuned.

I don't know if I covered this, but I had them with me when we went to do the tune, but found out one was dead. I've since received a new one and just have to get back there to get it tuned. I don't think the clutch will survive another dyno flog though, so ill be doing that as well.

Nice numbers. Those AFR 205s still produce plenty of power all these years later.

Was there any flycutting with that setup?
