Default 243 headed 370 lq4 final dyno results

2003 lq4 bored .030
forged eagle h beams
-4cc mahle forged pistons
ARP everything
minor ported 243's unmilled
street heat stage 2 cam
ls6 intake+ ported TB
1 3/4 pacesetter headers + ORY pipe and corsa catback
ss3600
36# injectors (unknown brand, all i know is that they're white)
SLP maf with resistor removed (previous owner bought it)

At first I thought the numbers were low, but I went to the track and made this on my first pass

currently on the to do list

Strange SA shocks
S60 with 3.42's or 3.73's
Hoosier Slicks

What else should I do for more power? I've already spoken with someone and have an idea on what I need to do but i would like to see what everyone thinks my next step should be. I'd like to see low 11's before i go to nitrous

Props To Martin@tick for the cam help, the TQ curve is flatter than a pancake! The Stall gets right in the meat of it.

that just goes to show you, dynos dont tell the whole story and max power numbers aren't as important as the ET's. Nice numbers!

I agree with slightly low numbers for a H/C even for it being automatic, but that time is on point, thats what its all about though, dyno is just a number...

They should dub that cam the "A Cup Cam" because that bad boy stays flat forever. Another thing why did you guys stop pulling at 6500 the power didn't even start to drop I bet it would pull to 7000 with no problem assuming good springs of course.

just got back from the track, i added a datalog from the first pass

the first three on the left are from last week, the three on the right are tonight's

the last slip on the right was my first pass, after that, the PCM started to pull timing as the IAT count went up (-2* IIRC). Tranny got hot as well on the last pass to 220f (i hot lapped all these runs) but all in all, the first pass vs my 11.76 pass showed i gained 2 mph and dropped .3 off my time with a 1.70 60ft.

Gear wont help much, 3.90 might, 3.73 is a waste. 4.10 with a 275/60 drag radial would be the right combo.

Buy some double adjustable rear shocks.

Put a cutout on it.

Tweak with those mods and it will run some 11.40-11.30's

Ditch the MAF and put on a FAST with a bigger TB. I gained 20/20 going that route on my 346. You should do as well or better.

1 7/8th headers and fast 92 and matching TB is in the works along with a plate system after the rear end and shocks are put in.

and believe me, i wanna ditch the maf. The maf was giving me problems when the car was an ls1, the previous owner had it tuned by a moron in houston who tunes without a wideband and thinks "he knows what cars want by smell and hearing"

Turn It to 6800-7000 rpms and you will et quicker. Especially important with only 3.23 gears so it don't drop back so low in the power band on shifts .
Good pass's , my lq4 in a 6 spd car with 4.10 gears shifting at 7000 with f14 cam 232/234 112lsa +4 and run 11.32@122.
Point is, run the rpms up some.

These lq4's are tough .
