I think your dyno graph is backwards it say 490 rwtq and 420 rwhp shouldn't it be 490 rwhp and 420rwtq

I've roughly measured them to be 7" give or take a few tenths.

Nice torque but that's quite low hp for a large cam 383

Just got the nitrous working. Found out even with all the suspension and ET radial pro tires this thing is useless in 2nd under 50mph on the 250 hit haha. No more nitrous for street driving.

Converter flashes to 5k-5100 and the thing gets slippery. Haven't had the shot dyno'd yet. Trying to do some real world tuning with the plugs and jetting.

Just saw this. Not really through a TH400 with a 3600 stall, 3" steel driveshaft and an S60 with 28" tires.

Also the timing on that dyno pull was only 18*
He didn't have time for any more tweaks after we swapped for the truck coils and made that final pull
Since then I am running 26 degrees and got the AFR down to 12.5-12.7

Not too concerned with it anymore at this point since now after 1,700 miles it is spray time!

4" stroke and that intake manifold seem to be happy.

thats definitely respectable! Keep us updated on the nitrous times. Are you running a direct port or nozzle/plate? I know some said these intakes wouldn't like a plate or nozzle but I dont see that being an issue.

You can't really call this a Proflo intake dyno result without having a baseline to go off of. You might as well call it Pat G cam results or TFS 215 dyno results.

Still, nice results. Thats some impressive torque.

Take from it what you want. The intake is part of a package on his car

Im really wanting to see the results on the jug, I have a 383 with a proflo and planning on hitting it with 300 once I get the car together. Im going to use a plate myself, I dont feel Ill have any issues with a plate.

Switched the plate for direct port when i built the motor. Felt it was safer on the 300 hit up from the 175 on the stock motor

My point of this thread was to show the falseness that proflo on an n/a motor suffers from low end loss over a fast 90/90 combo since that is what i switched from and on that combo only laid down 400rwhp thru a 4l60 and 10 bolt granted that was with bad coils.

If you take drivetrain loss difference of the two combos (4l60e/10 bolt vs TH400/S60) at 5500 rpm between the two dynos and the fact of the bad coils on the lower run, its about close to the same.

Fast90-90/4l60e/10 bolt/ bad coils

Proflo/TH400/S60/truck coils

Either way the point is retarded. I got off the Fast 90/90 because I didn't want to risk a nitrous backfire running this much and destroy a $700 intake manifold. Also because of the ease of changing jets on the direct port (~2 minutes) vs the **** show I have seen with most stock style intakes. Not because I thought the Proflo would give me any more power.
