Default This cant be right! or can it?

First Dyno 343 rwhp/356 rwtq

Added AFR heads and cam.

Now 443 rwhp/363 rwtq

So 100 more HP and less than 10 ft lbs of tq?

Whats up?

2 different dynos? What kind of dyno? Locked or unlocked auto? Manual?
My car gained over 100rwhp but it was from a few upgraded bolt ons in addition to the heads and cam.
Your results dont seem right with the low torque though.

No, Milled the heads to 62 cc (.040 x 3.910 gasket) added 1.0 point. Went from 10.00 to 1 to 11.00 to 1?

Why don't you give us a complete breakdown on the mods you had when the car was first dyno'd and then the mods when the car was dyno'd the second time. Also, post up the cam specs too.

I dont think that will help much? The torque should pick-up about the same as the Horsepower right?

Full bolt-on car before 345 HP/355 TQ

Added AFR 205's, ported fast and @ comp 224/224 .581/.581 on a 114 C/L

Now 443 HP/363 TQ, about 100Hp gain was excaty was what I expected.

You see this combo all day @ 450 HP/400 TQ

If you mean pick up 100 rwtq no. I would think it should be around 440 rwhp 400-410rwtq. The 205s and that small cam are usually torque monsters. Was it on the same dyno for both runs? Full bolt-ons include what for you?

I agree with you, about 400 RWTQ not 363? I think that I am down about 40 ft-lbs of TQ.

It was two different dynos. Before the H/C I had been on 5 different dynos all about the same results 343 to 356 HP and 352 to 357 TQ, right on the money for a full bolt on car.

Where is my torque monster?

I would try a different dyno then it will determine if its your car is having a problem or the dyno is screwy... Take it to the track see if it runs like a 450 horse car if it doesnt start looking your drive train. Try to post your graph and that will give us a general idea whats going on.

What rpm did both combo's peak?

If the new combo added RPM but kept TQ more or less the same, you will show a lot more HP.

TQ * RPM / 5252 = HP

356tq * 5060rpm / 5252 = 343hp
363tq * 6400rpm / 5252 = 442hp

If it is a question as to why your TQ numbers are low, how big of a cam?
How much overlap?
What are the actual valve events?

My 00 Firehawk put down 342/356 w LS6 intake,PP TB, TSP long tubes,ORY, Yank 3600 stall.... Recently ordered a custom ground cam 230/234 113+4... We'll see what she does then. 400+ on a stalled car is pretty nice if you ask me...

On a Mustang dyno, it would not surprise me. It still a bit low though.

on a 221 x 221 .561 lift cam I made 370whp and 369 torque with ls6 heads.

On the 224 cam (same as you) with ported FAST 90 and NW 92mm tb I made 404whp and 370 to 375 torque. on 24 degrees of timing. Same ls6 heads
