Default 99 Formula, Vortech, H/C, numbers

Just got the car tuned right for the first time. Towed it a little over 18 hours to Clint @ American Intense Racing in Arvada, CO. First I would like to say how happy I am with the great service and professionalism, Clint did a great job. The car runs strong and I am very happy with the results.

The rundown:

347 w/ 9.0:1 forged bottom end
Vortech G-trim w/ 2.95 pulley (max boost was 7.5psi.) non-aftercooled
Patriot Stage 2 LQ9 heads
Comp SC1 cam 224/232
Siemens 60lbs. injectors
Meth Injection 50/50 mix
Hooker LT's
Stock LS1 intake
M6, Quick Performance 9" w/ 4.56 gears

All said and done she put down:
483hp 442 tq

Very nice nice build, but how come not more power? I'm just curious....

dynos can be low ,but altitude , ford 9' playing a role ?

i was thinking with heads , cam , meth , and 7.5 lbs youd be into the 540 range .

This is true, all dynoes are different. I'm gonna say the main factor in this situation has to be the altitude in Denver. The 9" w/4.56 gears is eating up some power as well. An LS6 intake would be a cheap way to gain some more power with your setup as well.

Thanks guys. Clint told me the same thing that the 9" w/ 4.56s is a power eater. I plan on changing the intake just haven't decided which one yet. I'm not one that relies on hp/tq numbers, just hoping I can match or beat my best time of 11.34@124.

Well you are ahead of a lot of the people on here not relying on the dyno numbers...smart man I think you can beat the old time with the new setup IMO

Great power IMO with over 5,500 feet elevation and a 9" carrying 4.56's.
