LS1/AFR 205'S/228R results
Tell me what you guys think of the numbers it put down. Should I be happy with the results?
Stock bottom end
AFR 205's milled to 60-61cc
228r on 114lsa
Fast 90 intake/Fast 92 T/B
25% underdrive pulley
SLP lid
stock 4l60e with Circle D 3600 Stall
TSP 1 7/8 headers
I dont know why it says MPH instead of RPM at the bottom of the graph

a 4l60 will handle the power you are making with less paracitic hp drain then a 4l80.if you trans has 100k ,then it mite need a rebuild.change your fluid and filter ,and add a 1/2 qt more tranny fluid for better WOT shifting..a Tony Mamo cam would have made more power.the 228r cam was designed for stock GM heads.Tony M designed a cam just for the head port flow of AFR heads.

Tony actually made me that same package lol but still in the boxes waiting for me to put it together but i have a new short block from lingenfelter. kinda nice to see the power you got from it, also my heads were build by tony and i have the fast 102 nick william 102 tb

tuning of the trans is so over looked.I feel afr heads , with the right correct cam and intake should make close to 450 rwhp.,with a good tune and air. what injectors and fuel pump are you using ?

Its customary (and allows comparison) to use SAE numbers, not the uncorrected STD.
228R on a 114 is pretty much the XER lobed version of what Tony recommends, he prefers the LSLs. I dont think you would make much/any more with his cam. You may be a little low on torque, perhaps due to the headers. Like Jake id expect a little more torque. ..do you have gears?

Stock gears, I actually just put a order in to tony for a little bit of a bigger cam. Hopefully this cam can break the 400 torque mark. Went with a 227/231 on a 113lsa. This cam also has a bit more lift than the 228r. I plan on going bigger maf and lid when I get it tuned again. You guys think a zo6 maf would suffice? Or should I go bigger?

The Z06 Maf, 98mm lid, WS6 lower gave me a huge gain over the stock stuff... Again, you cannot argue w the results.

As Jake has stated above, the torque does seem a little low with the heads being milled to 61cc chambers. That said, this is a GREAT daily driver setup. Remember, your cam has 0 overlap, the 228R on a 114 LSA equates to 0 overlap, so your power band is wide with a little less peak. The AFR's would really shine with a slightly bigger cam that has some overlap. Overlap= power especially with good heads, which you have. It'd be nice to see the AFR's on the pulls, I'd imagine they're pretty conservative. I think there is a little power even w/ this setup.
