So now setups are off if full weight cam, header/exhaust ONLY C5's don't trap 126-128?

Wow!

So tell us what do those have to do with a dyno? Don't you have a gym to go to??? or maybe go check out a new fad diet. That would be the best place for your wr to start.

Take it to the track. Be sure to post up results.

It won't as long as you own it.

My bet is he won't get to 118.....to dumb to.

Said my peace.....good luck with your car op.....you need it.

Apparently a lot has changed since 2008 when I had my last lsx car. Trapped 118-119 in my cam only lq9 swapped car and that was pretty respectable back then. Guess all this global warming has got the lsx cars running faster. I looked on corvette forums "fast list" and the highest trapping can only car on there is 121.5 mph. Not saying every car in the world is on there.

According to a thread in the multimedia section, I should barely out run you.

This is LS1tech, therefore it is fact.

I'm bowing out of this thread, its like the blind leading the blind. When did z06's become so slow? Bolt on z06' with a 235/240 cam and your hoping for a 122 trap? If the car is setup properly as you claim 125 should be no problem. Its been done with baby cam cars and even bolt on cars
1 bolt on car has been 125 and it was from the camp of Gary and RobZ with tons of track tuning and some unmentioned entities. Also -2000+ DA which is the norm for everyone....

120 traps regularly where? There might be 10-12 C5Z's that have trapped 120+ mph with bolt ons only and 90% of them have gears, skinnies, UDP's etc bolt ons with -DA. That is not regularly sunshine..

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-z...list-only.html

Show me where they are regularly are trapping low 120's and I'll "bow out". It takes more than headers and a cam to trap 126-128 in a C5 Z.

Record trap for a bolt-on ls6 is 134.xx, I'm next at 131.xx.....but my car was a little off that day. Do I think it had a 134 in it??? NO. But it will do better than 131. I've seen bonestock c5 Z06 go 118. As far as regularly anything it's impossible to say. Different drivers, different mods......nothing is regular at that point. But you can bank on this.....the engine is capable of what I said if all else is right with the right mods. Mine is proof of that.

Thanks for the troll Heater.....lol

Ok, so the dyno is going to show if your car under performs. Right.

While the numbers aren't impressive especially for a "Torquemax" cam, the only thing that matters is how it runs. I don't know anyone that races dyno sheets. It does sound really good tho.

I was talking real street car C5Z's that are safe to drive and not tin cans that you would die in if you rear ended a Geo Metro. I posted the C5Z fast list, I don't care about records from pure race cars (yes I know you consider your car a street car blah blah). Your post is irrelevant in response to my post but thanks for the reply.

Your car is really proof of nothing other than non street friendly mods, and unsafe weight reduction will make the car trap higher. Hey a Nissan Sentra is pretty quick with you remove all the body panels and cut the roof off. It's apples to oranges man, there are no hidden secrets to making power with the LSX motors and 440rwhp is not the norm for LS6's with headers, exhaust and cam ONLY.

How is my post irrelevant? A c5 z06 and my car are near the same weight. The potential for the vette to lose some weight is there. Weight reduction does not mean race car if it's done in a manor that retains street worthy ness/comfort.

You know nothing about my car. You like others like to think you do....but you don't have a clue.

Here you've got a pic of your car on big/littles.........there's not anything you can do to make a car handle and stop like **** as much as put big/littles on it. But your gonna yack at me about some safety/ weight reduction.......get a clue dude.
