Default Dyno'd my bolt-on car

Local place had a dyno day, for $50 I really couldn't complain! Anyways it put down 330 whp and 355wtq. On the next two runs it made 375 wtq and then 365 wtq, definitely thought that was strange but it looked like spikes in the beginning of the dyno graph? Any idea on the torque discrepancies?

Anyways the car has ARH 1 7/8" longtubes, 3" high flow-catted Y-pipe, SLP loudmouth axle back, POTZ ported TB and MAF ends, SLP lid and smooth bellow.

It's still on factory tune, how much do you guys think it will pick up with a tune? My plan is to do an ASP underdrive pulley and 4.10 gears, then get it tuned when all the bolt-ons are done. Anyways, here's the sheet.

Your torque number is unusually high compared to horsepower. A tune should give at least 10 hp i'd hope

Should put down at least 350whp with a tune and pulley, helps its a 6 speed too

On that dyno your really made around 335tq. Look at the graphy. The hump at the beginning was caused by the operator.

Good start. Tune is always good. Better yet buy the cable and learn yourself. Will be much more rewarding in the long run.

330/355 is pretty good for a bolt on car. The torque is probably a bit high.

Thanks, yea you're right. Not bad at all I guess. Does that HP and TQ sound about right given the mods? What did the operator do exactly to cause that spike? I'm curious.

I do know how to tune, just not familiar with LS1's. I tuned my E85 supercharged GTP into the 11's. The problem is I'm only familiar with that platform, so I just need to do some research and see what kinda AFR and Timing N/A LS1's like. I'm used to tuning supercharged V6's, but N/A tuning is supposed to be easier from what I hear? I just need to save up and buy HPTuners and a wideband and start playing with it.

I had a PowerTuner with the GTP. It's pretty much the same thing but the PowerTuner has way more tables available than HPTuners does for GTP's, and it's alot cheaper which is why I chose that one instead.

I would say you are in the right ball park for power on a Mustang. Would be a bit higher on a dynojet.

All of my tuning experience has been on other dynos. I'm guessing maybe the load cell doesn't kick in until they start sampling the run so it absorbed some inertia from the drivetrain? That probably makes no sense but it would take something similar to popping the clutch while already going 60mph - basically a shock to the driveline.

I tuned a 00 SS M6 the other day that had stainless works headers, slp catback, slp lid with egr delete and it picked up 20 rwhp on our mustang dyno for a total of 344hp at the wheels.

Nice! Makes me want to get my underdrive crank pulley and a tune ASAP! It was SAE if I recall correctly.

Sweet. Got the ASP underdrive installed. Once I do the 4.10's I'll but HPtuners and a wideband and get this bitch tuned!

I would say you will pick up 15-25 hp with tuning and the other mods
