Man, threads like this make me wonder what my car could have done with one of your cams and a better DA Martin lol. If an A4 with heavy tires can make the same as me, I guess I need to step the game up. Nice numbers too.

Well, you have to look at it like this as well. He has more compression than you do, he has a tighter quench area than you do(.040" cometic gaskets), he has more camshaft than you do and he was on a different dyno.

Every dyno reads differently and who knows, you may be able to come to our dyno and throw down 500rwhp, but it's not going to happen because our dyno is pretty stingy! It's a Eddy Current/Inertia brake dyno and even though it was run in inertia mode for this car, it still reads lower than a true inertia style Dyno Jet.

It seems to be a good 3-4% lower than the other Dyno Jets in our local area. That is consistent from car to car that we have seen come in our shop and dyno on our dyno with the same tune that they made more power with on another local Dyno Jet(not a Eddy Current/Inertia Dyno Jet just pure inertia).

Small 224ish .566" lift cam with same heads and intake equaled 400rwhp. Less compression and looser quench as well than what it has now.

Have you considered larger OD pushrods for this setup?

It could use them and it has been discussed with the owner. We have changed springs to BTR Platinum springs with Ti retainers. Normally with stock rockers and cam lobes mild enough we can get away with just a .080-.105 wall 5/16" push rod.

I know you can see where it isn't happy up top, and the springs were 5+ years old.

It should be around 3500 race weight as we did install a tubular K-member while it was getting the new motor.

Also the owner had us put a brand new built FLT 4L60E in it. Car is finished and will be getting picked up soon. Hopefully we'll see some 10.50 passes shortly afterwards!

Actually it was a old LG G5X1 cam 228/232 .585/.575 .. if it matters

This car was around 3450 with driver even before the Bogarts. I bet with the K member and Bogarts it is in the 3300's. I see no problem with 10's other than maybe the 3.23's. Rob is looking forward to picking it up. What do you guys have the shift points set up at now?

Of course Rob couldn't remember the specs LOL! His words exactly, "It was a small 224ish cam with .560-.570 lift." I figured it was an old 224/224 .568"/.568" cam.

I forgot about the Bogarts. Knew it had to weigh around 3500 with driver. The K-member is worth about 20-30 lbs. from memory IIRC.

The shift points we're commanding at 6600 when the trans started going out. They need to be turned up to 7200 though for maximum E.T. Do you or Rob have access to HPT and the ability to play with shift points?

It looked pretty stock to me. Still had stock shocks on it.

I think the main thing that helped Robert is his converter stall speed. I feel a lot of guys put too tight of a stall in their car and then wonder why it won't E.T. as well as the other guy with a looser stall.

Getting your car into its power band quickly and getting wheel speed out of the gate will net the fastest elapsed times at the track.

With how Robert's stall flashes now with the new found power, it's really going to make for some wicked fast passes!

Martin is correct. Rob's car has stock suspension and torque arm. Only mod is the front sway bar is removed. It has still been in the 1.50's 60fts though . It has a Yank SS4000 converter if anyone was wondering.

A month later, still waiting on times. Surely you had to get one more run in before you put it up for the winter?!?
