370ci
Wiseco 4.030 -3cc with valve reliefs
Callies Compstar rods
GM LS3 head gaskets
Ls3 intake
2nd hand cam: 230/248 .613/.617 LSA 114+4
Stock ls3 rockers
stock lifters
ls2 timing set
BTR 660 spring kit, with tool steel retainers. (awesome)
Edelbrock 90mm TB
stock Maf
K&N FIPK
"foam-D-po" Rubber 3"-4" coupler.. hehe.. its a crap tube.. really..

M6 car with 3.73 geared 12 bolt.

What do you guys think? I am trying to hit that magic 500rwhp number, is it in the cards? maybe a different cam?

What valves? If they're solid, they are heavy. That combined with the tool steel retainers, and you may be having stability issues with the valvetrain.

After that, I would swap out the timing set for an adjustable set and play with the timing. The valve reliefs in the pistons should give you room to play around quite a bit.

Stock ls3 valves. I was under the understanding that the tool steel retainers are lighter than the TI retainers?

Titanium cost more but are lighter than tool steel

I got it, I looked it all up on Brian Tooley, and found what I was thinking, the TI stuff is lighter than the Tool steel, I might try that, and seeing if I can get some lighter valves, or atleast look at my options in that area. I havent seen good results from porting the stock intake, and spending 800+ on a fast seems to be a small return on investment, I will look for more power somewhere else before I travel that road. I am going to switch it over to SD and take the 78MM Maf out of the equation, and see if that helps, I doubt it will make that much of a difference, but you never know until you try... 500RWHP will happen..

Have you thought about bumping up the CR and running some E85?

Ill be moving over to e85 when I turbo the Nova, but this little motor will stay a daily driver on pump gas.
