Are those heads unmilled? What is the base circle of the cam? I think your Pushrods might be too long and you are hanging the valves open. Did you measure preload?

From his past posts, he bought the heads new and unmilled I believe. Where does the base circle of the cam come into play? Wouldn't you assume that it is the same as any other LS-1 cam?

I was happy with those number but just found out that the dyno we were on sucks @$$, and supposedly doesn't put out *good* numbers. Either way it's an A4, we'll see what she can do tommorow.

Burnem- Were going to Shadyside (5-6 of us). Going to meet up to eat first, pm me if you want to come along and I'll send ya my phone #.

Probably pick up about 10RW locked according to the Colonel.Yanks dont lose much from lu to non lu,IMO no more than 15RW at most for the TP4000.

U should hit 420RWHP but your TQ will drop alittle bit.
Not too bad for the setup,Good luck with it.

Nice numbers. Not to get off topic but the 3.73 gear and SS4000 stall is what Im looking at for my set up. How would you rate that set up for performance as well a drivability. Thanks

I think you will need some 430 or even 456 gears to rev that high through 3rd in the 1/4.
It must sound wicked reving at 7500 man.

no you would not as the base circle of the cam can change due to duration, manufacturer etc. most aftermarket LS1 cams are about .030 smaller than the stock cam, so if you install a cam with unmilled heads the stock pushrods are usually to short or if you install a cam and milled heads the stockers can be to long. either one of the about can seriously effect performance of the engine.
