Default FM13 dyno results

best pull was 400.2/372.9. I guess I'm a little disappointed as I was expecting more and also have an unexplained dip in my dynograph around 6300rpm's. Could this possibly be valve float? I am using Crane dual valve springs from my previous cam and they have about 7k miles on them.I probably won't be able to post the graph until tomorrow. Any ideas?

You're puttin' down 400 to the ground Cam-only and you're dissapointed?

I say congrats! Get the kink at 6300 worked out and you're set.

I guess your right. I think I am more concerned about the dip at 6300 more than anything.

I am running the F11 with all the bolt on's, numbers in sig. Allan Futral tuned my car and its trapping at 116-117 every pass, I am running the 918's and my car falls off at 6500. Allan suggested running the 921 Crane duals in my case. I have a depleted mod fund at the moment HS rockers also.

I agree, 400 RWHP is excellent for a moderate cam only car.

What LSA and ICL is your cam on? I ran that cam on a 112LSA 110ICL and it peaked right at 6300rpms. 474rwhp 422rwtq with the mods in the sig. That was running the patriot GOLD dual springs and I didn't have any float all the way to 6800 where we stopped the pull.

I have been considering running this cam in my car sometime in the future. Does the 110LSA have more horsepower than the 112LSA? What specs with this cam produces the most horsepower for this cam? I have an auto and is not hardly driven on the street. Your assistance with this question would be appreciated. BTW, nice numbers for your car with this cam.

112LSA/108ICL. Peaked at 6520, right after the dip where it looks like it was falling off. So if I could figure out what this dip in the dynograph was and get rid of it I think I would be around 405-408rwhp.

Dude you're on ****** crack if you're disappointed with an FM13 making 400 rwhp on stock heads....

That cam is a mere 230/232 duration cam, nearly half of most 400 rwhp Cam-only setups....

By the way, those are real good numbers for a cam only. Some h and c cars don't have that much power. Does your car idle good? Which specs for cam give the most power. cheers................

Thanks. The car wanted to search for idle at start and occasionally at lights before tuning. After tuning, all is good

Bro, you have STOCK UNPORTED heads. Gomer, myself, and others who make good #'s have highly ported heads in our combo. You couldn't begin to expect our #'s through a set of stock heads and that camshaft...

Regardless, those are KILLER #'s considering the small size of that cam and the driveability it offers. FMS is bad ***....

If I had an auto car I'd get a FM13 114lsa 110ICL, that would give you a little better idle, broader power range, and a killer top end. Some 3.73's and a 3500-3800 stall would be a *** kicking SOB... with a set of Patriot race port LS6 or 5.3 heads

Gomer.....thanks for the reply. I have a Yank 4200 now. Does Alan Futrell have a cam just a little bit bigger than the F13 just for a little bit more power since this cam is small compared to others out there.

There are a ton of diffrent variables that determine which specs will work best. Most choose a 112 +4 or in other words a 112 LSA w/ a 108 ICL.
I think 400 to the ground is great man. Get some springs or whatever is wrong fixed and you should be right on par.

Congrats...400 rwhp is not bad for cam only. What did you dyno before the cam? You can put a .030" shim under the spring seat to help seat pressure, the Crane's responed to this.

Some more tweaking and finding what it likes best will results in some good power gains.

Good luck..
