Mods are in sig. 427hp/427tq, tuned on a mustang dyno. Any opinions on the results? What do you guys think I should be making on the street? Also any estimates for 1/4 times? Haven't brought her to the track yet with the new engine! LS3 in a 4th Gen Camaro Numbers-image-3303840959.jpg

Hard to say. Good traction I could see you making at least a mid 11 second pass.

Looks right coming from a mustang dyno.

Mid to low 11's N/A. Get a good hook, 10's are possible.

Yeah the Hot Cam really isn't anything that special, it has a nice torque curve though and isn't hard on the valve train at all which puts my mind at ease lol. I'm assuming the 458 whp came from a mustang dyno?

It's a middle of the range 230/230 cam and headers and dyno tune, that's it. Stock piping with mufflers cut off.

Here's his dyno. The lower number is before headers and dyno tune.

Like I was saying 420 is what some cam only ls1's have gotten.... Just saying. Some cam only LS3's have hit 500 whp.

That is a dynojet, sir. They tend to be a lot more numbers friendly. I talked to the shop owner afterwards.. Told me the mustang dynos read a lot lower (approx. 15%) which after applying a 15% increase to 427hp would put me around 489hp on a dynojet... And this is according to the shop owner. Either way, I'm more worried about my time slip regardless.

How much does your car weigh with driver?

If I can run ET 12.03, 60' 1.96, 117.93 MPH with 3646 lbs car with dirver, running 300 treadwear street tires, 2800 stall converter, 3.55 rear gear, automatic trans with LS3 Hot Cam making only 360 RWHP and 329 RWTQ, you should be able to run 10's with those numbers. Dynojet HP number is 409 on same setup.

Now I have to say, my numbers are low because I'm running LS2 MAF, with 3.0" stepped to 3.5" to 4.0" air intake system that starving the engine for air. I'm in the process of correcting that problem in hopes I can get car to run solid mid to low 11's with 60' still in the 1.9 sec range with street tires.

As ran

New numbers with just LS2 MAF changed to LS3 style. You can see I still have problem due to lack of intake air. HP & TQ are the same on both graphs at 5225 where HP TQ cross. Note that runs were not made on same dyno are on same date, SAE corrected show them to b same requardless of different conditions.

You can see my built in problem in this picture.

Now all that said, I'm puzzled by Dyno Sheet you posted. Never seen a Mustang Graph printed out like that. Mustang wants people to know runs were done on their dynos.

Yeah man I don't know, it's Powerhaus performance, and I verified it was in fact a mustang dyno. But 10s?! Idk I would need a full suspension set up as well as a new rear and some weight reduction lol. But your numbers look really good I would be happy with mid 11s for the money I've put into the car so far

Your right on the Mustang Dyno. Fooled by graph you have. It's not normal printout graph, but what dyno operator looks at while tuning, hence the name Powerdyne Graph viewer at top of graph.

Your numbers are better than most will ever see. Less than normal driveline powertrain lost. HP & TQ lines almost same as GM engine dyno sheet. Shop could do a Power Pull with car setup and give you a very close idea on 1/4 numbers, plus or minus what ever your 60' time is from 1.5 60' time used a baseline for pull.

480 HP - 427 HP = 53 HP lost. 470 TQ - 427 TQ - 43 TQ lost.

Overall I'm extremely satisfied. Pulls very nicely all the way from 3200-6000 (rev limiter set at 6600rpm) and I do not have to worry about changing springs and checking the oil pump every 20k miles
