It's a denmah inspired JY build so I went with stock 180k original rings, and went with .030 gap on the top rings only.

Bump!

Hopefully Jose the OP can provide an update on the LS7 clutch. Is it still alive?

I am looking into adding a turbo to my 5.3 and currently have an LS7 clutch. I don't plan on much more than 500whp for now and was hoping I could get away with just running the LS7 clutch for now.

Sorry for the late reply but I hadn't been on here much lately, I put about 1000 rough miles thru the ls7 clutch without a hiccup, hot lapped @ the track and multiple burn outs, never slipped or anything, I actually sold the t56 and ls7 setup to go 4l80e, but I would for sure recommend this clutch to anyone around 600hp or less and vehicle weight 3500# or less as well, it looked like new when I pulled it out to sell it, my friend has been running his ls7 clutch on his rear mount turbo 6.0 camaro wich has 600hp 600tq with the same results, he bent a few rods on the 6.0 so we replaced them and changed gaskets and bearing etc, reused the clutch and still going strong after two seasons, so far so good, he mostly drives it in the summer time and weekends so maybe around 7k miles but @ least 50 races between street and track on his.
