The GT2-3 cam & LS6 spring combo is still on sale at $399.95

Hope this helps,

Will LS6 springs clear Harland Sharp Roller Rockers? Is this Cam OK to run with a stock Torque Converter? Seems like the HD's stall a little higher than the 1500 series so I'm thinking I'm OK. How much longer is that sale going? Gotta run it by the boss

Great numbers. Not to hijack but how much more rwhp would an 02' Z06 see? Considering the stock cam is almost the same. Like the others stated, will the stock springs work? And lastly, how will this cam react with a super charger? Again, sorry if I hijacked this thread.

with any cam change you need to change the springs. you will see awesome #"s if you go FI with this cam.

Sorry, I didn't realize I hadn't answered this question. the GM springs are rated at .550 in all the advertised literature out there, but we check the open and closed spring pressure, and are happy with the LS6 spring up to .600" valve lift.

The GT2-3 cam is right at the edge of the spec, but we have installed a lot of them here(and covered them with a 2yr/24k warranty) and never had any trouble with them.

Pray, you would probably only see 5-10HP gain at best on your '02 ZO6 since you have a pretty good advantage over a stock LS1. The stock LS6 springs would work if you chose to go that route, but that small of a gain wouldn't really be worth the cost & time involved for a cam change. We routinely install Magnuson blowers on ZO6's, and either the stock cam, or our GT2-3 works well with them.

Hope this helps,
Ed

what kind of numbers have you guys seen with the GT2-3 and a blower or turbo under mild boost on a mostly stock car?

Thanks Ed. That is what I was thinking. I guess I will have to go with a slightly larger cam if I want to make power worth the work of a cam change. I was looking to make at least 30rwhp with cam change.
