Looks like he'll be shifting around 7500rpm now instead of 7200rpm before.
O geez if my car acts like that my stock bottom end will hate me

Yes. Exactly. Feels like it's going to get out the whole faster. And the throttle response is better too.

Yup! And rear coil overs from MWC. Samsel can't wait to see your next track outing results.

I may have missed it in all of the posts but was it necessary to fly cut with this combination? I'm still looking for a H/C set-up but will be leaving the stock short block in and don't wish to fly cut.

Yes, this combo has pistons with valve reliefs.

Car recently hit the dyno with the intake combo, TH400, and 4500 Stall

Every pull peaked around 6,950 and carried very well as you can see.

Main difference from the last dyno session and now was....
Larger weather correction
26" street tire to 26" DR on the dyno
Intake change over
4l60E with 3600 stall to TH400 with 4500 stall

Bingo!
Only reason I threw the car the rollers was to see peak RPM power and where it would start losing power.

It should run very well. The main issue with the 60E was the stall speed being too tight for the E.T. the customer wanted on motor.

Yeah, Gotta pick one or the other N/A or Gas if you're chasing the best times for either or, That or just realize you might lose a little on both ends and pick a in between either way I want to see how the track numbers stack up with the new set up !!

The car has already been mid 10's N/A.

Car has been 9.70's on a 100 shot.

Goal is low 9's possibly even high 8's(I'm sure Shane and Samsel both are thinking WHAT?!?!?) on 200-250hp of nitrous and low low 10's on motor.

With the new trans higher first gear, it will have a more effective starting line ratio making it easier to launch the car. Not to mention the Super Victor killing some torque off the line as well which will really help it launch more consistently and bring the power in faster.

I really think if the car can cut a high 1.28-1.29 60' it will go 8.99999@149-150mph. My old nitrous combo with a 4.10 rear gear(this car has 3.73's) and TH400 would cut a 1.28 60' leaving on a .93 jet with a tenth of a second delay. Both cars are similar in weight as well.

With a better starting line ratio than I had, and a Mickey Thompson Pro Tire(I had Hoosier 275's) this car will do it if they work at it enough.

I need to get out of the sandbox I miss racing !! This combo would be a money maker in my area busting 408s asses with every terrible combo you could think of putting stock 243s on them and such. These are the cool builds !
