All numbers were backed up for accuracy, and because frankly we didn't believe them at first!

This car has been very fast already with 50+ less hp/tq(10.8@126 and 10.1@135 on a 100 shot, 9.8@138 on a 200 shot). It should really haul the mail now!

And no joke on backing the numbers up, car was consistent for sure. Did 500 then 502 locked, 490 and 490 unlocked.

Excellent numbers especially with an auto. I assume 93 octane. Any pictures of the cold air intake?

Awesome numbers and set up! Do you have any videos of the car? I bet it sounds nasty. How does it drive and cruise on the street?

Thanks for the link to your CAI. Very well done. One thing though from the other thread.

"Don't mind the Tq spikes with the converter unlocked
47 Hp gain locked and unlocked"

Was there a 47 hp diffence between locked and unlocked? Or maybe the spike has something to do with the difference? That just seems to much for a lock and unlock converter.

It made 502 locked and 490 unlocked.

Shane was referring to 47hp gain from the old set-up to the new set-up.

The spike has to do with the unlocked converter flashing hard on the dyno and screwing with the tachometer lead and registering a false torque reading.

Simply bad *** is about all I can say. I've got to make one of these custom Velocity stack induction systems myself.

What matters most in this combo is the average power it makes in its operating range. Over 400rwtq for 3000rpm and over 425rwtq for almost 1700rpm.

Not to mention that this was done without a ported Fast intake, without having to hand port the heads, no electric water pump, no fancy exhaust, no 6 speed trans and no hero runs on the dyno.

Plain ol' N/A HP at it's finest.

Great power! Pretty good tuning for idle too with 11.5 btdc intake opening. I'm thinking about building up a budget 403 short block for my c5z and have a similar top end already.
