Forget about the numbers it made. Forget about the HP altogether. His torque peaked at 4900 RPM. That is dead giveaway!

I called previous owner and now I have other people looking into it. I more want to know facts so I can plan my next upgrades.

Everyone's memory is telling them that there was no cam in the car

I don't know enough about cams but I does the peak at 4900 mean it has a cam? Where would a stock cam peak?

It had egr modified ls6 intake so it would have had a 98-00 ls1 cam. Which was a little bigger than the 01-02 cam.

I just got it running and I'm not ready to pull the covers.

Tony at speed agrees that either it is a freak or there is a cam.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I would like to plan my next mod and I would appreciate if anyone has anymore thoughts

In summary I dyno'd 380 horse and torque.

Previous owner denies cam or head work. I trust him. Owner before him, is Mia.

If someone is bored and is analytical enough to read thru the earlier responses and give some insight I would appreciate it.

I have crappy slp headers and I am trying to decide if I go kooks long tubes (1 7/8 probably) and true duals (cuz I've always wanted them) or do I get ported and polished heads. I am thinking I might just do some brakes since I don't know and I don't want to waste money. I don't track the car and I just enjoy setting it up the way I want. I just got some ccw sp500s so I am gonna enjoy that for a bit.

Thanks guys.

At least pull a valve cover and check to see if it has stock springs or maybe 1.8 rockers. Yellow ones are stock LS6, which you shouldn't have...but if you did, that'd be a giveaway something is up

Either way nice numbers OP!!
241 heads were on 2000 cars also. I bought mine brand new.

This is about what my 01 WS6 did. It did 360 with a lid and MAC headers and Y pipe and NO TUNE. It still had the stock cat back also. It backed up the numbers by going 12.40@114.7 on stock tires.
