Default EPS 222/226 CAM, STOCK 243's

I have an 02 m6 ws6 on ls7 clutch, before the cam and heads i only had lid, long tubes, 3in y, slp lm1 to the back replaced with magnaflow resonator and was pushing 299.5 rwhp and 315 ft-lb on mustang dyno..

Now with the new mods @125k i swapped stock injectors with fast 36lb, aeromotive stealth 340, Eps 222/226 cam, Stock 243, comp 918 springs, manley 7.4, ls2 time set, melling 10296 pump and on same mustang dyno i pushed 362 rwhp and 380 ft-lb...

Overall runs hard, and its daily driven..

Am I reading correctly that with a stock LS6 intake (I'm assuming), stock 243 heads, and a relatively small cam you made 362 to the rear wheels?

Hang on for questions ...

Not really its on a mustang dyno so its probably going to be low. A fast 92 should add roughly 12-15 on that and more if its ported. A 102 can add another 5-10 on those numbers

i was hoping to see close to 400 after the fast intake on that mustang dyno, alot of guys get there cars tunned on dyno jets and heard dyno jets put out higher numbers, after i do the swap il see what it puts out on one of those dynojets....

I think you'll pick up 20/10 with the 2 combined. Post the graph if you have it.

Mustang dynos correction factors are put in by the operator that's why they can read high or low. Dyno jets are usually more consistent because you can not adjust them other than the set correction factor in the software SAE, STD and a couple more. Your numbers look right on because it looks like that particular mustang dyno reads on the low side. Nice numbers by the way!

Ya that setup isnt exactly being choked by the ls6 intake. Sue a fast will help but its not like its a 408 motor with cnc 235cc heads and a big cam. It just doesnt have the same air demands so its not going to respond like that motor would with a fast. If you want to feel better go stick the car on a dyno jet. lol as stated a dyno jet spins a known drum mass to calculate hp mustang dynos can be adjjusted so the numbers can be anywhere.

I know a shop near me that has a mustang dyno that reads just as high as a dyno jet, then another down the road from that which breaks a lot of hearts. Like c6z's dynoing 380-400 bone stock on them which is a routinely 440hp car

Good results. I like this cam. 3 years ago I installed it with 115lsa and lower than .600".

Your next step is CNC those 243's with ported fast

As soon as i get everything dialed in, ima through it on a different dyno just for the sake of it but just to see.... Numbers dont mean much with my 299.5 i went to drag strip on street tires and got 13.50 @108 with a 2.3 60ft...

Il post dyno sheet before and after, and track results as soon as im done with it...

Why not. With mild ported 241's that flowed close to the stock 243's and i only had a Comp 216/220 114lsa cam and i dynoed 408 rwhp and 397 rwtq. And i had no FAST. So it can be done and I have a Vig.3600 stall.

True, numbers are just numbers. Just run it at your favorite track and see what your ET and MPH are doing.

Seems like a heartbreaker dyno so not bad. All dynos are different. 63whp and 65ft/lbs is a good gain for stock 243s and a mild cam.

I think you made good numbers considering you dynode 299 with bolt ons...my car with the same mods in an Auto dyno'd 332hp.

I bet on a less stingy dyne you'd be at 415-425 which isn't bad at all...

Default EPS 222/226 CAM, STOCK 243's

So I finally had some time off and was able to strap it down on a dynojet just for the sake of it, and it made 420rwhp @6150rpm and 405rwtq @4950rpm
