Default LT1 hp prediction

Hey guys I should be taking my car to the dyno in the next couple months. Most of my specs are in my sig.

383ci
10:5 CR
215 TFS
226/226 565/565 114LSA
24x Conversion
Billet S480
4'' downpipe
E85
1000cc injectors
I hope to run to at least 14lbs and maybe even further if there is no bugs to work out. I hope to eventually run high 9s maybe once I get suspension in check.

What do you guys think?

Im looking to get close 800whp since Im at a tad higher compression and decently flowing heads. I would be slightly disappointed to make under 700whp

I was going off the fact your running a th-400. 800 whp through that drive train is a boat load of power.

Correct. My friend has a CTSV and he put down 555whp @4300lbs+ on stock suspension and ran a 10.88. So Im hoping at more than 700whp I can get well into the 9s. Maybe.......

Dynoject or Mustang?

Dyno number searching, or actually want a performing car?

I would say 650whp area.

Its gonna be on a dyno jet more than likely.

Not dyno number searching. When i get it tuned it will be dyno tuned. Id rather have a performing car than just numbers as a reward. Just trying to get an ET estimate.
I have 2 friends that have smaller ci, smaller turbos and one has a smaller cam and both are making 750whp+.

Im gonna push it to 20lbs eventually. But taking baby steps for right now.

TH400's soak up a lot of power man. You may have to turn the boost up if you are looking for 800whp.

I understand that. But I was thinking because of the higher compression it would be a lot easier to be close to that number at that boost level.

Update, Im getting ID1300s and Squash intank setup with a 3 bar MAP and at least 18lbs and some meth as a little insurance. That should help me out a lot. Any takers? I know not many push LT1's to the limit, but I surly am....

800rwhp or so should be a good ballpark with everything working as intended.

Cool, thats what I was hoping to achieve. I'd be upset if I hit anything under 650whp. Need enough hp to hit 9s....

I wouldn't get hung up on a dyno number anyway. Yes one could assume XXXrwhp on said dyno should be good to bring a car into XX.XX time but honestly, you just need to take it to the track.

I'm guessing you went with a 12 bolt or 9 inch rear? I'd guess low to mid 700s, respectively. Like others have said, that drivetrain is going to SOAK up power. It's going to be strong though, strong enough that you'll have fun getting it to hook.

750rwhp-800rwhp seems reasonable with good heads and a good tune.
