01 SS M6 H/C build, Tick Cam/Stock Castings
Well I figured since my car is finally getting tuned this Sunday I would go ahead and write up a thread of the mods and my expectations with results to follow.
To start off the car was basically an exhaust and nitrous car with a S60 last year. It went a best of 11.46 @120 with a 150 shot. It made 342 on motor through Tsp 1 7/8" headers and 3" y pipe and Tsp rumbler. It also has a Monster Stg 3 clutch.
Over the sunmer and fall I pieced together everything I needed and started my tear down in November. My parts list is this:
853 casting heads with CNC port job and bigger valves (2.08 & 1.60). Milled ~.021 which gave me 64 or 62cc chambers IIRC
Tick Cam spec'd by Martin 235/243 .637/.627 @ 111+243
Scorion 1.7 RR
Morel 5315 lifters
Trend double taper 3/8 PR
PAC 1207x valve springs
Cloyes LS2 timing chain.
Stock oil pump(cleaned and installed high pres spring)
Arp head bolts
Cometic .040 head gaskets
GM white 42lb injectors
Aeromotive 340 fuel pump
Racetronix Hotwire kit
I believe that is all of the parts I put in. I also installed a new S60 with different axles and went to 4.10s from 3.73s. I went for 11.1-11.2 compression since all we have is 91 in the pumps here. I am shooting for 450/430 on the dyno, I would be happy with 420/400.
As far as track times I would be happy with mid 11s on motor and mid to high 10s on the bottle. I plan on making a nitrous pull on the dyno to make sure my A/F is good and the plugs look good. If everything goes well I may put 200 pills in it, I don't want to get to greedy though
UPDATE: dyno graphs posted and HP number correction.
On motor it made 444 @ 6350/398 @ 5200
On a 150 shot it made 580 @ 6200/584 @ 4350

According to the guy I got them from LPE did them. They have really clean cnc tooling marks so someone ran them through a machine
Thank you! I've read way to many threads and heard plenty of stories of disappointing results so I'm avoiding that haha. Higher is never a bad thing
Yeah I'm interested in seeing the results as well. I'm hoping for the same performance as before on motor now. I don't feel like mid 11s on motor in a 6 speed isn't bad

Well my tune got pushed back a week. I sent my injectors off to be cleaned and flowed last week and they didn't make it back in time so I had to switch weekends with a guy. This waiting is killing me! But it will give me another week to make sure everything is in working order.

Just a quick update, best numbers were:
On motor
441hp@6350
398tq@5200
On 150 shot
580hp@6200
584tq@4350
I am very pleased with the results especially with a stock tb and ls6 intake.

Thank you! The tuner still has the car so he can do a drive ability tube tomorrow. I'm hoping to get it to the track in the next few weeks weather permitting. I'll also post some graphs as soon as he sends them to me.
