LS6 dyno results Well, first pull on the dyno i gaine 1rwhp and no torque, i was quite upset. After tuning by the man NoGo i got 10rwhp and 8 rwtq. Not bad, expecting a bit more, but what can you do. Just F.Y.I. for anyone thinking of doing the mod. Make sure you get it tuned!!

when u say ls6, you mean an ls6 intake manifold? You really needed a tune afterwords? what did u get tuned? i hate when people say "get a tune" but never say what they actually tuned. leaves dumb people like me wondering that the hell they are talking about 
Hmm, I was planning on installing one without getting tuned right away, I hope I gain at least as much as Durien did if/when I do.
Yes, an LS6 intake maniflold to replace the stock ('98-'00) LS1 intake manifold.
'Tuning' usually refers to the tuning of the PCM (aka: computer), air/fuel ratios, timing, rev limiters etc. Usually accomplished using a LS1 Edit software and a dyno (preferred) or even a simple hand held unit such a Hypertech, Diablo Predator, Microtuner etc. (less effective)

i wonder if i should throw my ls1 intake on and dyno with that and the swap for the ls6 and re-dyno. i'll need tuning for my new h/c setup anyway. as i just threw the ls6 on and that was it.

well someone that knows the ecu tables will know what to do, you either have to richen or lean out the tables, in my case they had to be richened. I believe what they do is increase the flow rate of the injectors compared to air intake flow, complicated if you dont know what your looking at.
I wonder how much power a totally stock car would get with a tune ???
