Default Dyno numbers from build.

Car is an 04 GTO M6. Car dynoed 370hp 363ftlb torque to the rear wheels. 510hp & 564ftlb torque on a dry shot. Mods are untouched 243's pacesetter long tube headers, electric cutouts behind the LT's 85mm Tb & my LS6 intake mouth opened up to an 85mm. & of course The GM hot cam. I thought the car would dyno closer to 390. But for the hot cam I'll take that. I just want at least 7.8's in the 1/8th & to trap 90-95 N/A. I'm skeptical with those numbers but we'll see. Oh yeah the car had a vararam intake fitted on it but that turned out to be garbage the filter was really restricting the engine. Taking the filter off bumped the car from 363rwhp up to 370.

I wouldn't worry about the dyno number. You say you want 90-95 traps...is that n/a and at full weight?

Depending on the track, DA, temps, etc....I'd say 90 would be possible but not 95

Just to give you an example, my buddy has a HCI 06 GTO That makes 500 rwhp, and he trapped 94 with full weight and stock rims with dr's

Okay I understand now. A lot of factors have to play into it. Man 500rwhp N/A. I bet that could be a pain to launch with lol.

Definitely interesting info on the Vararam intake. I have one on my G8 so I'll have to see if it's holding me back. I've been thinking about upgrading to a VCM intake.

I thought it was funny myself & I don't know if the setup is the exact same on the G8 as the GTO but they dyno proved it was hindering more than help in in my case. I didn't take a huge loss on it since I purchased it for really cheap. One of those trial & error situations for me I suppose

A ported fast intake should get you another 10hp. Your numbers seem a bit low. I have seen some guys go over 400whp with a hotcak. Go run it and see how it does.

I agree my numbers do seem low especially for an m6. But idk maybe ls1 gto's dyno lower. On the gto site I was told these numbers are very respectable for such a mild cam. But I'm going to run it & see when I get my DR's in.
