Default 00 camaro D1sc dyno

Monday finally got a chance to do the final tune for now on the dyno. The blue graph is with the procharger. The green was my last dyno there on spray. Runs alot better now getting the fuel trims correct. An correcting the belt slip at higher rpms. The fmic worked great keeping iats low. Next step is getting a head an cam better suited for the boost. Bummer is I'll have to wait until next year for track times.

Boost is 8-9 psi. Mods include ls6 intake, LT headers ,fmic, and I think it's a gm hotcam, stock 241 heads with a Trunion upgrade. Also a electronic cutout. Manual Trans an a 9 inch with 3.90 gears

This gives me some inspiration. I made same nitrous hp as you but with a stock 5.3 long block and the d1sc will be going on very soon now that I got my truck out of the garage. Any plans to spray it with the d1sc?

Those are really good numbers considering the other mods you have. I bet she's fun as hell to drive.

Fuel was pump 91. No plans for meth or spray. Cam an heads are the next upgrade when I finally decide on what I want. Then I can re pulley an bring the boost back up to 8-9 range. Then I'll probably invest a meth kit. I have surprised the hell out of a c6 corvette an 15 5.0 mustang it is kinda of a sleeper.

With how cheaply and easily it is to make a $800 fbody run 9's and still drive on the street, I think anyone who gets caught off-guard by a 4th Gen camaro is just an idiot. Only the ignorant and the uninitiated discredit cheap, rwd cars.

Great results with the d1sc. With a proper head/cam package, it will really shine.

If you're looking for a budget friendly aftermarket casting, I'd look at the TFS 220cc as cast heads. Those heads and a custom cam will really make this setup shine. The TFS 220cc heads also offer a thicker head deck surface.

I'm not saying that a thicker clamping surface is ever a bad thing. But is the d1sc even capable of lifting stock heads?

I love the d1sc, but I don't think a thicker deck is necessary at this level. Definitely won't hurt, and the tfs220's are awesome, but some cnc ported factory castings would work fine, as well.

Unless you already have 243 or 799 heads for CNC porting, you won't save any money not going the TFS 220cc head route. By the time you purchase used heads, ship them off to be ported, have them shipped back, get upgraded springs, retainers, etc., you'll be at the same price, or possibly more than a set of the TFS 220cc heads. Brian Tooley is who I'd purchase them from of you decide to go that route. He has the best prices around.

I'm definitely not stupid enough to argue against some tfs220's cleaned up and set up by Brian Tooley. That's possibly the best bang for your buck available, and his prices are hard to beat.

But, on the other hand, he could send the 241's he already has to advanced induction for their 219cc high compression program, for less than the tfs220's.

I'll most likely go with the tfs220 from BTR. The results I've read with the tfs have all been great. Getting my heads redone might save me money but I'm not that tight on a budget. I would rather go with new, an sell or reuse the old heads. The cam will definitely be custom, I live in Colorado an can't go with a off the shelf cam. I went thru 3 different pulleys to get to 9 psi. Procharger had a hard time calculating for the elevation. But it was a easy to deal with them. My first pulley made a whole 3 psi ha ha.

Don't the tfs' require aftermarket rockers?
