My tires only about 26in tall so the gearing isn't too bad..overall I like it. If I had it to do over I would go 3.73 though. But that small of a change wouldn't be worth the expense.

I went a little conservative with the stall speed and gearing on the combination wanting to keep it street friendly. My last build was a 408LS with a th-400, 5000 stall speed converter and 4.30 gears lol It was a beast but not too pleasant to drive any distance.

Sounds like a really good compromise for a street setup on a build like yours. Sometimes it's hard to achieve the best of all worlds with one particular setup. Mine for instance is perfect with a 4.10 gear with the T56 running n/a, but on a 150 shot it's a nightmare lol. A 3.42 would be much better

I haven't seen a dyno sheet for your car, so I'd just be pissing in the wind if I arbitrarily told you to up the shift points. If the car is still making power, obviously you'd go faster by raising them. You've got the necessary valve train to spin it higher.

It peaked about 6400 and carried to 6700 without dropping off, I didn't want to take it any higher on the dyno. It probably would go a little faster with more RPM. I'm more worried about the 4l60e than the valve train.

Valid concern. I had a completely stock, not even a shift kit, GM Reman unit in my 99 Camaro. I ran it for 4 full seasons of mostly mid/high 11 second passes with the Yank SS4000. There was a few mid 10 second passes every year when I would spray the car. I had the shift points set where yours are when I was running the stock cam. I bumped to 6700 when I added the 224 cam.
