LS7 lifters, Brian's trunion upgrade, and a set of his .660 lift springs that come standard on his hand worked TFS 220's is all you need brother.

500 wheel sounds pretty great, and then add a 100 shot and pray for the bottom end

I'd be content with the 500 rwhp, but as long as the tuning is good, you should be fine with a 100 shot.

I'm content with 400 right now I've been taking baby steps over time with this car haha, I'll probably get bored with 400 eventually and then go for 500! I think my goal is to have a nice streetable 10 second car.

He specifically recommended LS7 lifters? I find that hard to believe in a application running a max effort cam.

No, I never got into the specifics of what he recommended for lifters. Hell, I run stock lifters on my setup and it's seen plenty of high RPM usage and it's never skipped a beat. I'd say LS7 lifters will work just fine as long as you use good oil and change it regularly.

I would at minimum run a Morel or Johnson drop in before a LS7.

I agree, I was surprised it made 360 with just headers/intake on that dyno. I can't wait to take it to the track! I trapped 115 with bolt ons so I'm hoping to be at least in the 120 range, maybe 125?
A ported 90/ 102 will likely pick you up 20whp and run up top better. I swapped out mine on the dyno to a fast 90 over my ported ls6 intake and picked up 13whp and it was a very noticeable sotp difference.

Yea you need some gear. 3.90s work well. If your car is a little heavy maybe some 4.10. The 3.90 is a better choice for the 10 bolt because they are stronger.

Use psi 1511 springs and ti retainers and stock lifters are fine there.

Roller rockers imo....with the psi springs and valvetrain is good to go.

Not to start a lifter battle, but I made a ton of passes on stock ls1 lifters with 7k+ rpm. I told myself I am not removing these stock heads until it breaks or upgrading heads lol. Fun to push these little engines.

That's my philosophy too. My stock lifters have been problem free for me. Granted they only have 47,000 miles on them, but still.

The only thing is that it seems like spending a grand on a fast 102/102 for 20 horsepower isn't very worth it Granted I could sell my LS6 for 400 bucks or so (maybe 450-500 complete) which would help recoup some money. My motor only has 40k miles on it so I think turning 7k a few times it'll be fine I'm not looking forward to buying a new clutch or rear haha, both are stock and probably won't last that long

I needed a new clutch after my heads/cam install. I opted for the Monster Stage 3 with Tick hydraulics. Tick Performance was running a special on it. Having a clutch that can hold 700rwhp/700rwtq is nice. I have room to grow, which is what I wanted.

I'm in the same dilemma right now regarding the FAST 102/102 setup. My setup is begging for a better intake and TB, but it's a lot of money. Part of me wants to do it, but part of me wants to just continue to save for a D1SC Procharger setup.

You may as well put a new clutch in your budget. The clutches were junk when new in these cars. You may as well change it now. First you'll start getting locked out of some gears. ......missing 4th....then 3rd. By then you will need to get the trans fixed. Don't be afraid to drop some coin on a good clutch and get Something nice and light.

If you don't you'll be fixing the trans when you do a clutch.

Yeah a clutch is on the list for sure. I was thinking about going either McLeod RS/X-T or Monster LT1-S but I'm not sure if they will work with my tick master. I noticed when I went to the track Friday that I had to wait a moment to put the car in third at 6700 rpm, I guess to let the rpm come down a little. The car needs gears for sure, and some tire I was able to get into high 12s at 115 when it was about 90* out with a poor 2.2ish 60'. I was happy to see I picked up 5 mph in the 8th trapping 90 but I was only crossing the 1320 at like 6400 in 3rd.

Look into spec x trim/ qtr master stuff or rps. Something no more than 30lb....preferably 25 or less. Get the moi down.

I have the graph and time slip I guess that isn't too bad but I need to actually put tire on the car and get it to hook so I can see where I'm at. I might try short shifting into 4th next time to see if I can get the car to go a little faster since I make more torque a little lower in the power band. I think even with 3.42 gears (which are probably hurting my times) I can trap a little faster.

The LT1-S will work with the Tick MC. I'm breaking mine in right now. Your high RPM shifting issue sounds like mine and that's when I knew it was time for a clutch.
