Also 22-23* timing seems very low. But the shape of the combustion chamber changes timing needed. Running lean can also make it more prone to deto.
On a stock head you'd be seeing more 26-29* of timing.
Naturally a very restrictive exhaust will make it worse.
I'm guessing you have several issues going on

True duals before getting a new cam. Having a good exhaust will greatly influence the cam. Get the dual exhaust setup and see what that gives you with the cam you have now. Then, have someone in the business of spec'ing cams spec you a cam.
