Default Today 9/28/17 1/8 track

Finally got a chance to go to the track again. This was at Irwindale Speedway and it is a 1/8 Mile. The run against the Porsche 911 Turbo S he won, I got a 8.2 he got a 7.8.

My best below ( Left side)

That's my best 60' so far...

Still trying to learn how to launch. Sometimes I wish I had an auto :/

Default Line Lock Question

My Line lock was not working. I'm not sure if its not working at all or does it not hold well with Skinnies up front? Anyone have that issue with skinnies up front? How do I fix that? I couldn't get the tires warm enough. The car would not hold at all.

I have not checked the weight on the car but it’s full interior, haven’t really done weight reductions plus that heavy *** S60 in the back. And I’m around 240lbs :/.

MPH is low for the power. What rpm are you shifting at?

Im working on it. I shift by sound lol. Was too busy looking at the road ;was my first time using slicks. I’m going to start going to the track as often as possible. Total track passes with this car is four 1/4 mile and the most recent 1/8 which was only 3 passes and I had to leave early.

Thats Why I said it needs a driver mod.

If get a good shift light if I were you. Even if you look at the factory tack it's most likely off at WOT.

Yup get a raptor shift light aim it at your eyeball and set at 6500. Don't shift until it lights up!!!

What rpm are you launching at? Are you spinning or dead hooking?

You need to find the sweet spot. Mine was 2-3 full tire rotations (spins) launching at 5000+ rpms = 1.5 60 ft and not too harsh on the drivetrtain.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The shift light is going to be my next purchase. Only once it hooked the rest I just felt spinning.

And I know exactly what you mean by the tach not being as accurate. I left first gear hard and I hit the rev limiter at around 5,600 i was like what the heck happened but the stock tach probably was not accurate. I'm a rookie probably not the best person to highlight the cars potential.

Hoosiers QTPs at 16.5 PSI. I tried leaving at 6000 (spinning) tried 5,200 and that one was the only time it hooked really good, it felt special the car just went. My rev limiter is set to 7,000 and I shift just before I redline on the tach, if the tach is off then I don't know my true shift points.
