the 440 is hard enough to believe but I'm not calling BS cause the 102 stuff helps a ton, but are you sausing the tri y is the reason for so much torque?

Hey scotty, I been tossing this around. See what you think.

You trapped 119 on your old tune and made 380-ish HP on that oldvtune. That about right? And nobody really has an issue with that. Now, whatever mods you had, you had a TON of KR, which now I'm thinking must have been fueling related. I suspect the WB on your previous dyno tune might have been off on calibration.

Anyway, there isn't much you need to prove here. It's just LS1tech. You've made a ton of track runs already, and you'll go back. Even if you "only" trap 123 and ET around 11.5, nobody will be calling BS on your power. They'll be calling BS on your mod list.

I for one am very curious to see how you do with your current list. I'd also be curious to see how you do with higher ratio rockers, lighter springs, and possibly some oxygenated fuel. See how far you can push that stock cam and heads!

I'm not trying to prove anything just having fun showing off my hard work and research. Maybe our group has found the happiest dynos on the planet lol

So did you gain all that power from a tune?

If you trapped 119mph, w/ 389rwhp, you should be expecting around a 6mph gain from the power you gained. Get around 125mph next time out.

What is the weight of car?

Uuuhhh no.

It trapped 129.xx in +2k da. Been as high as 131.3

The 1.2 60' was a freak of something.

I can't say i think it's a timing error but that's another story.

He and i make the same tq. The tri y seems to help his carry better up top. But we are comparing this on different dynos although the same brand.

I had my doubts on them. I know they can work if tuned right fir the application. I just wasn't sure if they really did that. Seems like they did!

Not really hard to believe. I'm at 417 and was running through a y pipe then. I have rockers and he doesn't (4hp) but his exhaust, cai set up and balancer are no doubt better. He is also running through a stock 3.42 gear vs my 3.90.

I dyno'd on dr's last time to. So that could also be to his favor. Either way i am implementing similar mods. Just haven't finished them up. His engine is fresher....mine has 90k on it. Many small things like that make me think his #s are spot on. I'm hoping to pick up a few hp's so hopefully I'll get close to his numbers.

It's hard to say what the baseline was. The AFR was off so we stopped at 4500 and adjusted. The overlay was pretty darn close tho. I bet I was up maybe 10 more.

You know what Scotty, I could give two ***** about the dyno numbers or even track times They are what they are and will be what they will be. This Z is a major upgrade over what you had, is a badass car, and you should be dann proud of it!

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I had to sell my old car because it wouldn't pass smog here in California. I moved out here last July. I was actually buying parts for the Vette before I even had the car. It was painful at times ha!

Scotty... do you plan on upgrading to a set of aftermarket heads? If so which ones are you looking at?

that's weird I specifically remember you saying in another thread it was a timing error.....so you're really saying the car cut a 1.2 sixty at 400ish rwhp?

as a separate comment the tri y stuff is interesting, might have to do a little searching on that.

Sounds like good mods to decrease rotational mass even further. I know quite a few guys who daily strange brakes.

On a car as light as a c5z I wouldn't worry about the brakes to much.

A carbon drive shaft is nice but $$$$$ saves some rotating mass but the diameter is so small I'm not convinced it makes a difference
