I think the tune is good, there aren't too many around here and none really better than Big3Racing.

I know on that 12.8 run I didn't have it floored off the line and didn't get it to the floor til closer to the 1/8th mark.

I think it still has more to do with my right foot than the car. Once I drive the car better I'll get it there.
Ok I didn't realize you were peddling it for the first 1/8 mile. With that in mind that could be the reason all on its own. Obviously no way to tell what it's truly capable of unless you're at WOT

That could certainly play a huge part. If he mentioned it somewhere I must have missed it

I mentioned it because the tq seems very low for that cam. Remember tq is messured hp is calculated. Even if using a loaded dyno etc that torque is low.

Yeah, I wasn't driving the car well Friday. I didn't seem to be prepared at the start line on any of my runs. And the tree seemed fast so it had me all messed up I think. I also never got the preload on the converter up closer to stall speed on any of the runs so that is probably also a culprit of my pretty crappy 60ft times.

It was the first time out on the new build and first time racing in a few years so i think I gotta kick off the rust first. All input is greatly appreciated. I'm probably going to swing by the shop i had it tuned at on Tuesday and see what they think as well.

I agree, torque is lower than I expected as well. I'm not entirely sure where he's get it set up on timing. I'll have to ask those questions and see what he thinks as well when I stop in over there on Tuesday.

Changing tq converters will screw tq numbers up. And leaving off idle or just above usually works better than foot breaking close to stall speed.
Get tires then go back

Well, went back to the track last night. Was only able to get one run in, it was pretty crowded but I knocked 2 tenths off my previous time with just the one run.

12.648
1.91 60ft
109 trap speed

DA = 1596

So my trap speed was 2 mph slower but my ET was 2 tenths faster.

I think I could still launch the car better yet. I'll be going again on Friday, there is a group renting the track during the day so it is a good excuse to take the day off work and get some runs in.
