My car almost always traps highest with the best 60'. Can't really tell from my last slips yet because onnever got a clean pass

I think its about time to go solid roller and mast heads on my 418 ive known for years my motor is not at its potential at 550whp at 6300rpms. my limiting factor is for sure stock cnc heads, cam and long runner fast. probably need 2 inch headers too

what lifters and rockers did you go with for your solid roller setup?

I'm sorta thinking it'll trap higher with better 60's. If he didn't get a clean pass in, it's sorta hard to judge anything. The track owners even admitted the surface was pewp.

If he had a bunch of clean runs, then I'd say maybe. But my own car, since I didn't get any clean passes at first, always seemed to trap higher with better 60's.

Spinning the tires while going down track will always result in less MPH.

A manual needs to slightly haze tires so you don't bog. Aside from that, spinning to much lowered mph on mine

This car is staying manual 4 lyfe. ET is great and everything but i rarely get to the track and I don't compete in anything. I'm more interested in a decent ET and a wicked trap speed for what I do

This sounds like me to a T. Completely understand. Quickest ET possible isn't priority numero uno for street toy.

Yeah don't get to the track enough to get the experience needed to really use the first 330' properly and I doubt I'll ever go to a slipper clutch either

My rear gears would not stay quiet in the 12 bolt either. Hated to remove the manual but got to be too annoying to drive. 6 months no whine then first time i really hammer on it and bang second whine came back.
200-4rtrans is rmvb. Now with a trans brake so still fun

gotcha, those rockers arnt cheep lol. been debating a solid roller in my 418 but i dont know if my heads will sustain a cam in the .680s. dont know if i can see spending another 4k or more for 100 or so horsepower. especially when I got boost plans eventually

How much you expect to gain from the cam change? Rpm change?
