Default Tsunami Cam - Cam Only 2002 Formula

Tsunami Cam from Texas Speed along with supporting mods, longtubes, lid, cutout before rear axle, and Yank PAS3800 through stock 4l60e. Put down 389whp/348tq. Tuned and installed by Lane Culver. I plan on getting 243's hand ported/polished here soon. Torque number seems a little low but it pulls hard. Ready to get some track times.

Good deal. I'll be curious how it runs at the track. Going anytime soon?

I'm going to let the converter get broken in and then hopefully hit the track in about a month. It sounds wicked and pulls like a freight train.

Yeah that cam has some overlap lol. Pretty similar to mine actually. With the right exhaust it can sound pretty damn good

I love it, I'll post a YouTube video and then post a link. It hits a mean lick. I have the cutout open right now but I'm curious to see how it sounds with it closed. I have Texas Speed exhaust. It sounded good without the cam with the cutout closed. I'll probably crawl under and cap it next weekend, I'm not tired of the racecar noises yet hahaha

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I've been waiting to do this since I bought it in December of 2015 and now I understand why. If anyone is looking at a tsunami cam from TSP, GET IT AND DO NOT LOOK BACK. You won't regret it. It's f******* awesome!!!! *Now back to chopping*

It did... I am on stock trans though and RPM's kill a stock 4L60e so I'm waiting to have it turned up to 6800-7000 until I get a FLT. The peak horsepower reading was at the shift point, so I know there will be another 15-20whp at least when I get a built trans, plus I'll have P&P 243's then so it should make around 440whp at least. It is my daily so I'm not trying to blow the trans. If it was a track only car or not my daily, then I would spin it to 7000 and not care.

Stock 3.23's. I am going to a 3.73 soon. I would really like to have a built rear before I do, but I am thinking about just slapping an Ultimate girdle with braces on it and seeing how it likes it. Anyone have any experience with those girdles?

That 3.73 will definitely be better for that cam. Honestly f5om what I've seen the 10 bolt can do pretty damn good behind an auto. You could even beef up the axles, bearings, etc...

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I don't plan to do much more than heads, maybe intake, and a 150 shot. I may go with a procharger over nitrous though..

Awesome. Considering your mods in your sig, you are making a good 60-70whp more than me and your rear has been fine so I believe it'll be okay. I would say 80% of 10 bolts that blow are blown with a clutch drop on sticky tires. Autos put so much less stress on them from a launch.
