I was going to mention this. It's badass, but I'm sure it's been put on a diet. Still evil.

I have seen 550whp with a 416 stroker and right around 500whp with a high strung 346. I agree with others that dyno numbers don't mean much without a baseline.

A friend made like 630 crank on a engine dyno with a 346 and stock 243s. They can make good power. It's a hydraulic cammed dirt car engine.

That was 510whp on 7 cylinders. Should have been about 583whp if all 8 were firing.

I'm hoping to get near 550whp with a 346 and messaged gmpp 243s. Hopefully my results will come sooner rather than later....but we all know how that goes down.

Morgan Motorsports made over 500 RWHP back in 2000. Their Aggressor 500 Head/Cam kit. Stock cubes.

I'm running PRC LS6 2.5 heads on my LS3 427. M6 Car weighs 3490 with me. With my current cam (239/252 .620/.596 111 lsa) it has trapped 127 in the quarter.

I agree. A 427 with 243's, no matter how good they are, is being choked. Bigger heads and smaller cam would help it.

I Disagree. G~ Ive seen a 408ci motor with some serious ported 243 heads make over 500 rwhp threw a automatic and the car ran 9.9s in the quarter. Fourth gen camaro.

That's cool! Those ports had to be paper thin and getting some SERIOUS velocity! AKA SMOOOOTH ports!
But now, this is on a 408, where the poster above is on a 427. Would 19 cubic inches make that big a difference?

Depending on the head porter/cnc job you can run a bigger valve in the head. I 19 cubes larger is great but it would still perform if the head have a MEAN cnc job done to them.
