Honestly, Anything over 520-530 I'll be happy. The FAST even though ported is the limiting factor. I'm considering a port matched Carbon PTR with short runners to help carry hp in the rpm's. I bought the MAMO fast before my SBE went kaboom. So it was never intended for this application. I just have it. Will probably go on another F-body because I've got my eyes on the hunt for a matching 02 WS6 for my Camaro.

Car is a M6 with a 9".

You should easily make more than my 5.7 does.....and it made 548whp on pump gas m6 with a 9". You have more compression, more cam and more displacement. I am running old early 2000 gmpp cnc 243 heads. I did tune them up a little by hand. But there are surely better port designs for 243s now I would think.

I am running a msd atomic intake that I worked on a bit.

I considered the MSD, but I'm honestly considering the BTR after the recent Frankenstein test that way I can keep my cowl and factory hood.

I seen that recent test too. I'd love to try a btr. The way my 5.7 carries rpm I think the msd could be limiting it from peaking. I wouldn't care a bit about tq loss below 4k or even 5k rpm with a limiter set at 8k. It's a pretty insignificant amount anyway.

ok now I'm interested to know the specifications of this build.
Because I'm doing a 5.7 in Australia. Im looking at making 550 @ the crank.
my build parts list so far is 243 heads waiting for porting.
6.3" rods.
Drod6cc dome top pistons 1.115 pin height for the longer rods.
Stock ls6 crank and block.
holley midrise 300-137 topped with a 2" spacer and 1000cfm throttle body.
yellow terra ultralight roller rockers
ARP bolts throughout
Cam I've gone with is similar to the ASA high lift cam.
cam. 227/235@50 277/289@ .006 110.5LSA + 1.5
2500 RPM stall
Static compression ratio will end up 11.16 to 1 with a dynamic compression ratio of 8.52 to 1.
1.pump E10 fuel in Australia that is equivalent to 91 in the USA I believe.

There really are no details. The bottom end is basic af. Stock crank, gen4 rods and a set of mahle off the shelf pistons with 4cc valve reliefs.

Heads are old ls6 gmpp cnc heads. Some psi beehive springs and I forget the brand of roller rockers I used.....nothing high end tho.

A used llsr cam from Darthv8r ghosthawk sbe build that he documented on here. It has around 12:1 compression on pump gas.

My bolt on ls6 made 451whp 423wtq.....which is very likely over 500 crank. Gm gave us a great foundation......no reason to over think it. And most importantly don't go backwards. Just build off what they gave ya.

I think from memory the cam specs from Darth are only a tad different to what i have. I note that your compression ratio is close to 12 to one. I'm only aiming for around 11.3 to 1 because our fuel octane is rated differently to the USA. our 98 is equivalent to your 93. Our 95 is your 91 and our 91 is your 87.
We do have E85 pump gas here but can very in content from one side of town to the other. So staying away from that problem.
I only want to run our 95 your 91 so I can fill up anywhere and not worry about anything.
if I make 530 to 550 @ the crank I'll be happy.
I don't think the 243 heads will need much work to support that power level either.

My 5.7 is running 29* on 93. So even if I could only get 91 it would be fine....not that much difference really. You could pull a degree or 2 to make yourself feel better about it.

Hell there's a vid on yt where they went from 87 to 93 and more on a stock ls3.....results were little no difference.

I wouldn't hesitate to run even more compression on 93
