Most optimized combos go make around 1.5 or so horsepower per cube on pump gas and a hydraulic roller. Most of these builds go spin under 7200 rpm or so and go be under 11.7 compression.

Take the most known LS stroker motor of all time which is the 408ci setup. Most/Alot go make 600 horsepower no matter the head, cam and intake.

Things start changing with high compression, race gas or E85, solid rollers cams and spinning the motor to the sky not to metioned the gains a good oil control on engine can make a difference. The little things makes a big difference in the end.
Yeah 1.7 is solid for an LS. I won’t argue that.

Just a note it’s a 347 not a 346.

Maybe.....or you're wrong. I can definitely see his being over estimated vs mine tho. You should contact him and tell him all about it. He would likely be very appreciative with your immense knowledge and background.
Blankenship has a MD so he actually may not be wrong if it made 540 on a MD with the correct inputs.

He is by no means an expert on the subject.

Here you go Doug. Since we know this car was 2950 with driver. So yeah 600 is pretty accurate for that car.

Your ET / MPH is 9.90 seconds and MPH of 136.44 MPH
computed from your vehicle weight of 2950 pounds and HP of 600 .

The car was going 136 @ 2950. It was making the same power as your car with a pretty basic engine combo.

Oohh he knows how to cheat the dyno. You can tell by the power claims he's made. That's why when the cheated numbers he was so proud of got whipped bad he assumes someone else is cheating.
I don’t have a problem posting weather data. You do.

The dyno was peak summer and sits outside. STD weather inputs are 60degs F, 29.92inHg, and 0% humidity per upper right hand corner of the graph. What a clown

This guy couldn’t find a dyno if you took him to a shop and pointed it out to him.

Well since you are so intelligent tell me why would I want to compare the weather data used for the correction factor vs the weather where that dyno was located that day?

Dyno numbers are just numbers at the end of the day. It's a tuning tool ! All Dynos can be manipulated, some easier than others. Correction factors work both ways. Uncorrected numbers could be less or more . I personally wouldn't call Hio's average numbers because he went above and beyond what the average person does with his engine and car setup in my opinion. It looks like Hios car done well and I'm happy for him. I'm waiting patiently for some track times and mph. Not that my opinion matters to anyone involved just my 2 cents , carry on.

Yup....dyno is just a tuning tool. But it gets some people all bent up.

I'll probably run it next year sometime. There's been some little nagging things I've been wanting to fix and adjust on the car. So there's been no reason for me to want to take to the track and possibly break something and have to fix that before I get the other stuff how I want. It runs really good tho. It pulls like it's angry.

What chassis dyno were they using to compare it to the engine dyno Doug? If it wasn’t SAE DJ numbers then your argument is invalid.

Dynos are data points just like tracks are.

I never did see the cam specs for revving to 7800 rpm. I know a lot of guys don't go over 7200 due to factory rod bolts.

DarthV8r pulled the cam out of his ls1 and sent it to Doug. It’s basically a Cam Motion Titan 4 in LLSR spec so something like 232/240 lift is .680” range iirc.
