My first dyno.
I’ve had 6 fbodies now. Some v6s. 2 z28s And now my 98 TA. I cammed my last Z but only got as far as a frost tune. Though the car ran flawless. But this build I knew I wanted full dyno tuning. I’m 100% happy with my experience, though I’m no expert in tuning or dyno numbers. I had a shop set me up with a fresh 6.0 forged. And they ported my 243s. Did some research and settled on the dorman Ls2. Then I called TSP and they pointed me at the torquer v4. I didn’t have any expectations nor concerns with dyno numbers. There wasn’t a lot of dyno info on the torquer 4 or the dorman ls2 when I bought them.
Took the car to SLOWHAWK. I would like to add to the many good reviews he has. He had to sort some small wiring issues, and diagnose what ended up being a **** throttle body. (Holley sniper 92). He replaced it with a NW. and charged me next to nothing for the wrenching. So here’s a public thank you to Don @slowhawk performance.

Yes for sure! My business gets real real busy in June and July. So I don’t know when. I haven’t tracked a car since I lived in New Mexico, so I need to start looking around here and find a place to go.

Lq4 vs lq9 is only a matter of which pistons. I put in forged pistons. So it becomes irrelevant. The pistons only effect compression ratio, which I changed around anyway. But for what it’s worth, I have no idea which motor it was when it came out of the factory. Lq4 or 9. Considering it has higher compression we can call it an lq9? Lol
